According to the China Hotel Association, the dining system includes four dining modes, namely, the waiter sharing meals at the table, the waiter sharing meals before serving, buffet, public chopsticks and spoons, and 1 person 1 serving.

Participants attending the "Catering Seminar" of China Business Federation believe that catering includes buffet, fast food, box lunch and dining in the canteen. It is relative to "combined meals" such as banquets, dinners and eating at home. From the operator's point of view, meal sharing is a service model, a paid service provided by the operator and provided according to the requirements of consumers. According to the different requirements of dishes and consumers, it can be divided into chef in the kitchen, waiter at the conditioning table or waiter at the table; Providing diners with public chopsticks and spoons is an interactive way for consumers and operators to eat.
