Which country did the puppet show originate from?

There are different opinions about when the puppet show originated. Now, according to the materials provided by the Tang Dynasty Fu, some people have pushed the origin of puppet shows to the Western Zhou Dynasty, more than 800 BC. Although there is no conclusion, there is no doubt about its long history.

Puppet in the palm, commonly known as "puppet show", is a kind of puppet show. According to legend, Jinjiang puppet show rose in Ming Dynasty. According to Li Bofen, an old artist who was born in a puppet family in Panjing Village, Dongshi, his ancestors founded a puppet troupe in the third year of Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty (1798). It is believable that Jinjiang puppet show once flourished in Ming and Qing Dynasties. This troupe, composed of members of the Li family (later called "Li Jiaban"), has been passed down for six generations and lasted for 200 years, raising the palm art to a very high level. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Li Baifen's grandfather, liying, was invited by the Governor of Fujian to perform in the provincial capital "Zhuguanglou". Since then, Li and his son Li Rongzong have performed in Singapore, the Philippines and Malaysia with Li Jiaban, which is deeply loved by overseas Chinese. For two centuries, Uncle Li's great-grandfather and brother have been engaged in the art of puppets in the palm of their hands, and successively created "Jin Yongcheng Class", "New Yong Cheng Class" and "Three Yong Cheng Class", which became the main troupe of puppets in the palm of their hands in the South School. There were more than 65,438+000 performances, among which the representative repertoires were Song Wu Da Hu, Lei Wanchun Da Hu, Daming Mansion and Noisy Heaven.
