Life experiences of characters

Born in 1946, the son of Chen, whose mother's surname is Han (Yangmeidu, Xiushui). Chen's younger brother is Chen Sanwei's grandson. At the age of two, he was introduced by his father and sent to the Chen family in Tianjin for foster care. Because of the war, the traffic between the north and the south was blocked, and the whole Chen family lost contact.

The Chen family in Tianjin is a comprador in railway business. Shortly after liberation, Chen Yunjun's adoptive father was sent to prison, and he lived with relatives. He doesn't know much about his life experience. "I just don't always feel so close." It was not until the eve of the "Cultural Revolution" that the foster mother took out a stack of letters and said to him, "It is hard to say what will happen in the future. When I am still here today, I will tell you your life story. You can visit your family if you have the heart in the future. " The foster mother showed Chen Yunjun the letter and threw it into the brazier. From this letter, Chen Yunjun learned that his biological father is Chen and his biological mother is Han.

For Chen Yunjun, who is nearly weak, it is a great shock to suddenly learn about his life experience. Soon, his adoptive mother died and he was assigned to a factory. He doesn't like workers' life and feels out of place. Because he loved traditional culture since childhood, he studied classical poetry and calligraphy with Wu Yuru, a master of calligraphy. For Chen Yunjun at this time, it is a great relief to immerse himself in the classical culture of China. Later, I had the opportunity to get close to Master Juzan, learn Buddhism from Liang Shuming, and become a poet and calligrapher without education.

From 65438 to 0982, Chen Yunjun opened Maolin Painting and Calligraphy Institute in Tianjin. In China at that time, it was the first school run by social forces. He found a leader of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference as the president and vice president, compiled his own teaching materials and taught them himself. After that, I went to the editing room of Tianjin Ancient Books Bookstore as the director. Because he doesn't have to work, he is teaching himself. "I studied for more than 20 years from my twenties to my forties," Chen Yunjun said. "Poetry, painting and calligraphy seem to be a natural thing for me."

He also loves to taste tea and burn incense, and has a monograph on the tasting of Zen tea sandalwood. Regarding his own life, he often claims that although he lives in a new society, his academic view, historical view and even outlook on life still maintain Confucian orthodoxy. "This is the tradition of the Chen family, from Chen Baozhen to Chen Yinque," said Chen Yunjun. "Although I was not raised in Chen's parents, this cultural gene has always influenced me."
