Hakka Folk Custom 450-500 Word Composition

Hakka, also known as Heluolang, is a nation with distinctive characteristics and a long history. Hakka customs are varied and have their own characteristics. As a Hakka, I still think the Spring Festival of Hakka is the most interesting.

It was a winter vacation in the third grade, and my parents and I went back to our hometown in Wuhua for the Spring Festival. The Hakka Spring Festival begins on the 24th of the twelfth lunar month, and is counted from that day to the 15th of the first month. It happened to be New Year's Eve when we arrived in Wuhua, and the time was about 5 pm. I got off the bus and walked to grandma's door, knocking at the door and calling, "grandma, here we come!" " "Grandma smiled and opened the door for me and said, please come in!" As soon as I entered the door, I saw grandpa, uncle, elder sister-in-law, cousin and sister-in-law busy around the house: the table was full of candied rice, oranges and grapefruit; New Year pictures and couplets are everywhere; Windows, doors, tables and chairs were wiped clean, and there were waves of chopping vegetables in the kitchen. There are a pair of big New Year pictures hanging in the center of the living room, with two gold ingots beside them, which is very festive.

I greeted everyone and ran into the kitchen to help. As soon as I entered the kitchen, a fragrance came to my face and almost made me fall into the water. Grandma saw me come in and said, "Just in time, come and help!" I ran to the helper, carrying that for a while and cutting this for a while, and I was very busy.

How time flies! It's evening in the blink of an eye. After a busy day, there are many dishes on the table: fried rice noodles, fried tofu, mushroom tofu, chicken, duck and fish can be seen everywhere. According to custom, we still have to steam "New Year's rice" in a big wooden basin today. First, steam a pot of rice in a big wooden basin, and insert 12 chopsticks and 12 garlic in the rice basin (if you need to insert one more in every leap year). Silver dollars should also be put in a wooden basin, indicating that there is enough food. Everyone ate a lot while watching TV, and the New Year's Eve slipped away in this thick flavor of the year.

It is a habit to get up early on the first day of the first month. My father and I got up early, washed clean, and then went outside to light incense and set off firecrackers. Eat "longevity noodles" after setting off firecrackers, which means health and longevity. I had breakfast with my father and called around to pay New Year's greetings as usual. My uncles and aunts gave me a lot of oranges and sugar on this day according to the rules, and my grandparents gave me a red envelope to hang around my neck, commonly known as "hanging my neck". I'm so tired after walking around the street all day. As soon as I got home, I washed in a hurry and finally fell asleep.

In a blink of an eye, on the second day of the first month, grandma slaughtered a capon early in the morning and poured chicken blood into an iron basin full of paper money, which is called "blood money", which is an important custom before ancestor worship. On this day, everyone in the family will go to worship their ancestors. After breakfast, everyone locked the door and drove up the hill with paper money, tributes and incense sticks. Going to ancestral graves, sweeping graves, offering sacrifices to ancestors and burning money are all ways for ancestors to wish their descendants smooth sailing and all the best in the new year. This day is also called "ancestor worship day".

Time flies, it is the fifteenth day of the first month in a blink of an eye, and the Hakka Spring Festival is over. Although it is only ten days, I will never forget the interesting Spring Festival and customs of Hakka. What about the customs in your hometown? Tell it to the students together! How's it going?
