What is Japanese Noko Drama?

Noko drama is the oldest traditional drama form in Japan, which can be traced back to 1383. It is rooted in Zen. Zen pays attention to meditation, self-discipline and imitation. The main themes of the drama are history and legend. Energy drama is a kind of performance performed by well-dressed performers with very fixed style and music and dance on a stage with almost no decoration. During the performance, there will be a chorus chanting the poems in the play along with the music. Japanese actor and dramatist Simi (1363— 1443) innovated this form of drama at the age of 20. At the age of seven, Xie Mi began to perform energetic plays. There are about 250 Noko dramas in Japan, more than half of which are created by him.
