What are the common beats in music?

There are six common types, namely 1/4 beat, 2/4 beat, 3/4 beat, 4/4 beat, 3/8 beat and 6/8 beat.

1, 1/4 beat: 1/4 beat is a beat of four notes, and each bar is 1 beat.

2, 2/4 beat: 2/4 beat is a quarter note, 2 beats per bar, and there can be two quarter notes. Strong and weak.

3, 3/4 beats: 3/4 beats are quarter notes, 3 beats per bar, and there can be three quarter notes. Strong, weak, weak.

4, 4/4 beat: 4/4 beat is a beat of four quarter notes, 4 beats per bar, and there can be four quarter notes. Strong, weak, second strong, weak.

5, 3/8 beat: 3/8 beat is a beat of 8 notes, each bar can be a big beat, but there are actually 3 beats. There can be three octaves. Strong, weak, weak.

6, 6/8 beats: 6/8 beats is an eighth note as a beat, and each bar can be divided into two big beats, but in fact each bar is 6 beats, and there can be six eighth notes. Strong, weak, weak; Second strongest, weak, weak.

Extended data:

1, beat

For example, when the specified music speed is 60 beats per minute, each beat takes one second, half a second or half a second. When the speed is set to 120 times per minute, every jump is half a second, half a jump is a quarter of a second, and so on. After the basic time value of the beat is determined, the notes of each time value are associated with the beat.

For example, when a quarter note is a beat, a whole note corresponds to a four beat, a half note corresponds to a double beat, an eighth note corresponds to a half note, and a sixteenth note corresponds to a quarter note. If the eighth note is taken as a beat, the whole note is equal to 8, the second note is 4, the fourth note is 2, and the sixteenth note is half.

2. Time signature

The time signature is the score written at the beginning of the piece (at the left end of the first line of clef, followed by clef, and if there is a key, the order is key → beat). The denominator represents the basic time of the beat, that is, the number of notes in a beat, and the numerator represents the beat per minute of each bar.

For example, 2/4 represents a quarter note, and each bar has two beats; 3/4 refers to one beat of the quarter note, three beats per bar; 3/8 means there are three beats in each bar, on the eighth note. There are only two, four and eight denominators in the beat, that is, binary notes, quarter notes and eighth notes as the basic time of the beat.

3. Part

When there is only one weak beat between two strong beats, this is called two beats, and 2/4 beats are of this type; When there are two weak beats between two strong beats, this is called "three beats", just like 3/4 and 3/8; Between the two strong beats, there are three strong beats called "four beats", and the common one is 4/4. A bar line separates the two bars.

A line is a thin line perpendicular to the score. The top five lines and the bottom line are connected, but the music table is cut off. No matter how far the top and bottom are from the score table, the bar line must not exceed the score table. Draw two bars in the last section of the work, and the thicker one on the right indicates the end of the work or paragraph.

4. Single shot and multiple shot

All double tones and triple accents are letter combinations, such as 2/2 (strong-weak), 2/4 (strong-weak), 3/4 (strong-weak), 3/8 (strong-weak-weak) and so on. If a bar contains more than two single beats of the same type and has more than two accents, it is called "double beat" or "double beat".

Of course, the beat behind the bar line is stressed or called a remake, and the second weaker beat is called a "sub-remake". The most common beat is 4/4 (2/4+2/4), and the rhythm feeling is strong-weak-strong-weak.

In a multi-beat, there are also 9 and 12. It is worth noting that except for 4 (for example, 4/4), the stress position in multi-beat is based on three beats, that is, there is a second beat every two beats.
