What is the structure and working principle of thermometer?
Thermometer is the general name of temperature measuring instruments, which can accurately judge and measure temperature. . There are kerosene thermometers, alcohol thermometers, mercury thermometers, gas thermometers, resistance thermometers and thermocouple thermometers.
Structure and working principle of thermometer
The basic structure of thermometer is composed of three parts: temperature bag, capillary tube and indicator. Thermometers are made by using the principle of thermal expansion and contraction, some are made of mercury, most commonly, and some are made of metal sheets. Thermometers in electronics measure temperature by converting the resistance change of thermistors into electronic display, and some use the different expansion coefficients of two different metals, and then use electrons to convert this tiny change into digital display, which is also commonly known as thermocouple.
Which indoor thermometer is accurate?
Some people may think that the measurement accuracy of pointer thermometer must be lower than that of electronic thermometer. Or people may think that the accuracy of mechanical instruments will be lower than that of electronic instruments. This obviously has a lot of fixed thinking. We can never say that the measurement accuracy of pointer thermometer must be lower than that of electronic thermometer and mercury thermometer must be lower than that of electronic thermometer or pointer thermometer.
Instrument accuracy is instrument accuracy, and the structure of the instrument has a certain relationship with the highest accuracy it can achieve. However, the accuracy of the two instruments only needs to check the accuracy grade marked by the instruments. So are two instruments with the same accuracy level equally accurate? Obviously, this is also wrong. The accuracy of the instrument mainly depends on the difference between the calibration value and the theoretical truth value.
Simply put, even if the accuracy level of the two thermometers is the same, especially when measuring a certain temperature, the accuracy is still different. Especially when two instruments with different ranges have the same accuracy level, generally speaking, the larger the range, the greater the error.
