Touring Hemudu

The Hemudu Ruins, an early Neolithic site in southern China, is a national key cultural relics protection unit located in Hemudu Town of Yuyao City, about 20 kilometers away from downtown Ningbo, with an area of about 40,000 square meters.Excavations began in 1973, and it is one of the earliest Neolithic cultural sites that have been discovered in China.

On the sixth day of the summer camp, the teacher took us to Hemudu ruins to play. We sat on the bus to Hemudu, talking and laughing, and before we knew it, we had reached our destination. We lined up and entered the Hemudu Ruins Museum in good order. The roof of the preface hall of the exhibition tube is shaped like a flying roc, which shows the cultural custom of Hemudu ancestors who love and respect birds. The preface hall, also known as the first exhibition hall, introduces the basic situation of Hemudu culture in general with the preface, photographs, charts, models and artifacts. The two complete human skulls and restored heads on display let visitors see what our ancestors looked like; the model of the Hemudu ecological environment 7,000 years ago reproduces the image of the Hemudu ancestors living a sedentary life 7,000 years ago. After visiting the first exhibition hall, we immediately came to the second exhibition hall, where there were artificially cultivated rice and photographs of rice cultivation 7,000 years ago, with clear awns and full grains, which was marvelous to see. I thought: our ancestors are really hardworking! The third exhibition hall reflects the Hemudu people settled life and primitive art two content. Unconsciously, the tour has come to an end, we are reluctant to leave the beautiful Hemudu town.
