What is falcon structure

The falcon structure is a concave-convex connection method used on two wooden components. The protruding part is called a tenon, and the concave part is called a mortise (i.e., mortise and tenon groove). The mortise and the mortise interlock to play a connecting role.

The most basic mortise and tenon structure consists of two components. The tenon of one is inserted into the mortise of the other to connect and fix the two components.

The part of the tenon that extends into the eye is called the tongue, and the rest is called the shoulder.

The mortise-and-tenon structure is the main structural method of ancient Chinese buildings, furniture and other wooden instruments. It is built with main components such as columns, beams, and purlins. The nodes between each component are connected by mortise-and-tenon joints.

, forming a flexible framework.

The exquisite mortise and tenon component connection method makes the traditional Chinese wooden structure a special flexible structure that surpasses contemporary building racks, frames, and rigid frames. It can not only withstand larger loads, but also allows certain deformation. Under earthquake loads

Offset a certain amount of seismic energy through deformation and reduce the seismic response of the structure.
