Yeche is a branch of Hani nationality. This quaint costume comes from its historical legend. According to legend, a long time ago, when Yeche people moved south from the blue-gray side (near Kunming), they were surrounded by powerful ethnic groups. They attacked on 12 road, finally succeeded in breaking through and finally moved to red river valley to settle down. In order to commemorate this breakthrough, Yeche's women passed on the costumes at that time to this day.
The Aini nationality living in Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture is a branch of the Hani nationality, accounting for about 8% of the total population of the Hani nationality. Their clothing is a prominent one among the seven branches of the clan. Aini people generally like to make clothes with their own dyed and knitted navy blue homespun. Men wear right-handed shirts, with two rows of big silver coins as decorations on their lapels and black cloth on their heads.
Women often wear collarless tops, short skirts and leggings on the right; A string of beads hung on the chest.
