What is the treatment principle of fracture?

There are three principles in the treatment of fracture, namely reduction, fixation and functional exercise.

(1) reset. To restore the normal or nearly normal anatomical relationship of the displaced fracture segment and rebuild the scaffold function of bone. It is the first step to treat fracture, and it is also the basis of fracture fixation and rehabilitation treatment. Early and correct reduction is a necessary condition for smooth fracture healing.

(2) fixed. That is, the key to fracture healing is to keep the position of fracture after reduction and make it heal firmly under good counterpoint.

(3) Functional exercise therapy. That is, rehabilitation treatment, which restores the relaxation and contraction activities of soft tissues such as muscles, tendons, ligaments and joint capsules of the affected limb as soon as possible without affecting the fixation. Early and reasonable functional exercise can promote blood circulation of the affected limb and eliminate swelling; Reduce muscle atrophy and maintain muscle strength; Preventing osteoporosis and joint stiffness and promoting fracture healing are important guarantees to restore the function of the affected limb.
