How to use cell phone to TV

If you are using a Huawei cell phone, take Huawei P40 cell phone as an example:

One, wired casting

1, use Type-C adapter cable to cast the screen

(1) Prepare the Type-C adapter cable.

Type-C adapter cable has Type-C on one end, and the other end can be HDMI, DP or MiniDP, etc. Please choose the appropriate adapter cable according to the port of the big screen device.

(2) Connect the phone end to the Type-C port, and the big screen device to the other end.

(3) Switch the input signal source to the HDMI, DP, or MiniDP inlet corresponding to the adapter cable on the big screen side.

2. Using a docking station to cast a screen

Using a docking station to cast a screen, you can connect your phone to the big screen while accessing and using a wired keyboard and mouse.

(1) Prepare the docking station device.

The docking station supports Type-C to multiple ports, for example, if the big screen device is HDMI port access, you can use Type-C to HDMI + USB +USB docking station device.

(2) Plug your cell phone and big screen device into the docking station via an adapter cable, and plug your USB keyboard and mouse into the USB port of the docking station.

(3) Switch the input signal source to the HDMI, DP or MiniDP inlet corresponding to the adapter cable on the big screen side.

2. Wireless casting

1. According to the model and function of your big screen device, choose the following operation:

If you don't know whether the big screen device supports Miracast protocol or how to turn on wireless casting on the big screen side, you can check the instruction manual of the big screen device or consult the device manufacturer.

If the big screen supports the Miracast protocol, turn on the wireless casting setting switch on the big screen.

If the big screen does not support the Miracast protocol, plug the wireless casting device into the HDMI connector of the big screen and connect the power cord of the wireless casting device.

2. On the phone side, slide down the notification panel from the status bar at the top of the screen, and tap the Wi-Fi icon to turn on WLAN.

3. Continue to slide down the whole menu to turn on the wireless casting, and the phone will start searching for the big screen device.

You can also go to Settings > More Connections > Phone Casting to turn on the wireless casting switch.

4. Select the corresponding big screen device name in the device list to complete the casting.

If you use a wireless screen thrower, select the wireless screen thrower device name.
