Cultural influence of Jingdezhen porcelain

After the integration, Jingdezhen spread the exquisite porcelain-making technology and promoted the vigorous development of porcelain-making industry in China and other porcelain-producing areas in the world. Therefore, Jingdezhen hand-made porcelain technology and production system is an outstanding representative of China ceramic industry, which embodies the seeds of capitalism in China, is an important part of the traditional culture of the Han nationality, and is also an important link for economic and cultural exchanges between China and the East and the West. In 1980s, in order to cooperate with urban reconstruction and protect a number of historical and cultural relics, the local government concentrated on protecting some ancient kilns, workshops and ancient buildings scattered in urban areas, and established Jingdezhen Ceramic History Expo Zone. The whole Expo site consists of two scenic spots: ancient kiln and ceramic history museum. It is one of the most important ceramic cultural tourist areas in Jingdezhen, and is also called "Living ceramics museum" by experts and ceramic lovers at home and abroad.

But at the same time, after the founding of New China, with the political and economic changes and the continuous development of mechanized production of porcelain industry, the customs of Jingdezhen porcelain industry began to fade, and now it is on the verge of extinction. Although the traditional porcelain-making process in Jingdezhen has been partially preserved and developed, a large part of it is still losing and dying, which needs urgent rescue and protection.
