Steam's Concept of Chinese Curriculum Development

Previously, I asked for the integration of subject education with information technology, and I came into contact with a new term steam. Baidu has been learning about steam for a while, and finally understands that the term steam is similar to the concept it had a long time ago-subject integration allows students to integrate a complete ability to process information and solve problems, instead of separating one knowledge and losing contact with other knowledge. Is this different from what I said about subject integration?

Take China Literature as an example. I think it is far from enough to teach students a few texts in the textbook. A Chinese teacher must first be a saint and have all-round knowledge in order to establish a complete knowledge system for students; He should have rich and passionate emotions, so that students can swim in the emotional power of words; He should have the ability to analyze and solve problems, so as to teach students how to solve problems with wisdom.

First, there is actually a lot of knowledge that can be taught in Chinese. For example, I once imagined that I could make a course set about basic necessities of life. There is a popular Hanfu culture about dressing up; There is a food education course about eating. I think China is a paradise for eating goods. If China people don't talk about it, I think people all over the world can be ashamed here. This is especially true for housing, whether rural people or urban people, the tireless pursuit of housing is passed down from generation to generation. Passing on solid wood furniture to future generations, living in the village is more cultural than buying several houses for children in the city. In terms of transportation, I think the ancients were more particular about it. Compared with bicycles, electric cars, cars, etc., carriages are of low grade, but they are also divided into many grades. These can be a collection about food, clothing, housing and transportation. Then there is the "gift". I think this gift is actually very important. Today, China has lost many excellent etiquette cultures of the Chinese nation. Just as "people are ignorant and ignorant" is the case, but in today's cultural system, we are more and more influenced by foreign cultures, but we have forgotten some unique cultural etiquette in China.

The second point I think is about the teaching of poetry, ancient poetry and classical Chinese, which accounts for a very large proportion in our Chinese teaching. Our present teaching is mainly for exams. As for the classical Chinese poems left by our predecessors, which condensed the essence of our thousands of years of history and culture, we really should carefully scrutinize and ponder. Among them, it is not only the blood of ancestors' wisdom, but also the inheritance of ancestors' etiquette. Poetry is read in poetry, which I think can be developed into a reading course.

Thirdly, I think China's traditional cultural solar terms can also be made into solar terms courses and festivals and traditional customs courses. I once asked students to do a special project here, that is, we started with the Spring Festival of the year, and then there was a festival about this solar term. According to the time, we have accumulated a whole year, and we can make a reincarnation of traditional festivals and folk customs.

The fourth is to carry out comprehensive activities. If we use these activities in the book to summarize the comprehensive learning in the book, it is mainly a practical activity, and then call for the return of our traditional culture. I don't think these activities can just stop at grace to finish some topics or something. I think it is more important to give students an ideological and emotional education and implement it to create a purpose of this activity.

Fifth, if it is a person trained by traditional culture, it will be said that this person is proficient in piano, chess, calligraphy and painting. However, in today's society, these aspects seem to have gone far. Today's Chyi Chin painting and calligraphy is actually different from our previous concept of Chyi Chin painting and calligraphy. Few children learn guqin because it seems that there are few resources to be involved. I think chess, calligraphy and painting are all ok. In the process of children's growth, some training courses can meet this requirement, or call it demand.

Sixth, I think Chinese can offer some film courses. I remember a teacher once developed such a film, that is, from primary school to junior high school, there are different films for students of different ages. In fact, sometimes we feel that it is far more effective for students to watch, think and grow from movies than to preach. In addition, some people can watch with their parents and exchange ideas with them in time during the watching process, which not only harmonizes the parent-child relationship, but also gets ideological enlightenment and growth.

There are many contents in developing steam courses, and my understanding is still one-sided. I think so much is related to my own education first. I hope I can turn these ideas into reality in the future and find more Steam courses.
