Who are the characters in Chinese mythology?
1. Sun Wukong Sun Wukong is one of the famous mythological characters in China and comes from "Journey to the West", one of the four famous classics.
His ancestral home is Dongsheng Shenzhou. He was born from the fairy stone since the beginning of the world. He led a group of monkeys into the Water Curtain Cave and became the king of monkeys, revered as the "Monkey King".
After traveling through thousands of mountains and rivers, he worshiped Patriarch Subhuti as his teacher and learned skills, and was named Sun Wukong. He learned the seventy-two transformations of the Earthly Evil Number, somersault clouds, immortality and other superb spells.
2. Tieguai Li Tieguai Li, also known as Li Tieguai, Li Ningyang, Li Honghong and Li Xuan, is the first of the Eight Immortals in Chinese folklore and Taoism.
According to legend, his name was Li Ningyang, Li Honghong, or Li Xuan, with the courtesy name Gua'er and his own name Li Kongmu.
His birth and death years were approximately 418-326 BC.
3. Jiutian Xuannv Jiutian Xuannv, referred to as Xuannv, is commonly known as Jiutian Niangniang, Jiutian Xuannv Niangniang, Jiutian Xuannv Tianzun, Jiutian Xuannv Yuanv, the Holy Mother Emperor Xuan Mushi.
She was originally a goddess who taught the art of war in ancient Chinese mythology. Later, she was regarded as a high-level female immortal and a god of magic in Taoism.
?4. Guanyin Bodhisattva Guanyin Bodhisattva (Sanskrit: Avalokite?vara), Guanyin comes from the "True Lotus Sutra" translated by Zhu Dharma Protector and his disciples at Chang'an Dunhuang Temple.
Zhu Fahu first translated it as "Guangshiyin", and his disciple Nie Daozhen changed it to "Guanyin".
Xuanzang's new translation is Guanyin, which is abbreviated as Guanyin in China.
5. Nezha (nézhā) is a figure in ancient Chinese myths and legends and a Taoist protector.
Nezha belief flourishes in Taoism and folk beliefs; in Taoism, the titles are Marshal of Zhongtan, Taishi Tongtian, Great General Weiling, Great God of Santan Haihui, etc.; the honorific titles include Prince Edward, Third Prince, Shansheng Boyzi.
