Chun-Li said that the colored sculptures of Shuanglin Temple have five characteristics: First, all the colored sculptures are made of local red soil, which is sticky and delicate and has a particularly strong texture; Secondly, three-quarters of the colored sculptures in the temple are made by hanging plastic technology, which gives visitors a strong three-dimensional sense like hanging in the air; Thirdly, many statues lean forward 10-20 degrees, which not only solves the problem of poor vision of the viewer, but also changes the traditional clay sculpture method, and is also a typical example of the perfect combination of mechanics and sculpture art by ancient craftsmen; Fourth, all sculptures pay attention to plastic eyes, and most statues are directly inlaid with black glass beads as eyes, which are still very vivid after thousands of years; Fifth, pay attention to characterization. There are more than 2,000 colorful sculptures in Shuanglin Temple, but each statue has its own expression, and none of them are the same.
