Why you can't touch heads in Libya

Because touching heads in Libya is considered rude or insulting. They will mistake you for looking down on them or insulting them. It is taboo for a male guest to give a hostess a gift. It is considered a misdemeanor. They forbid women to wear ultra-short skirts and men to wear long hair. Libyans are accustomed to shaking hands and saluting when meeting guests in social situations. So in a foreign country to understand and respect the local folk culture, otherwise it may bring disaster.
