What are the folk arts in Gansu? Craft Art

Folk art is proposed against the concept of academy art and literati art. Broadly speaking, folk art is the art created by laborers to satisfy their life and aesthetic needs, including folk arts and crafts, folk music, folk dance and opera, and other art forms; narrowly speaking, folk art refers to folk plastic arts, including folk art and arts and crafts in various forms of expression.

Categorized by material, there are various kinds of folk handicrafts made of different materials such as paper, cloth, bamboo, wood, stone, leather, metal, surface, clay, ceramics, grass and willow, palm and rattan, lacquer and so on. They are mainly made of natural materials, locally sourced, and made in a traditional handmade way with strong local characteristics and national styles, closely integrated with folk activities and closely related to life.
