How to read the degrees on a mercury thermometer, I can't read it!

Mercury thermometer reading steps are as follows:

(1) the first step: we need to have a mercury thermometer, generally regular drugstores can be purchased, and ask whether the mercury thermometer readings are accurate, some thermometers, such as the armpit thermometer sometimes to add 0.5 degrees.

(2) After getting the mercury thermometer, we need to look at the position of the mercury, generally speaking, the mercury thermometer just bought, the position of the mercury in the 35 degrees. If not, shake the mercury thermometer to below 35 degrees.

(3) Place the mercury end of the mercury thermometer in the armpit position, clamp it down, and hold it for 5-10 minutes. Be sure not to take the thermometer out in between.

(4) After 5-10 minutes, take out the mercury thermometer and take a reading. Hold your hand on the end away from the mercury and keep your eyes level with the mercury thermometer so that you can see the column of mercury and take the reading.
