Curriculum of Mural Department of Central Academy of Fine Arts

Majors and many plastic arts categories have the characteristics of "multi-marginal". Specialized basic compulsory courses include basic theory and basic technology. Basic theory provides an introduction to mural art, a brief history of China mural, a brief history of foreign mural, environmental art theory and design basis. The basic technology includes: 1. Modeling foundation: sketch (sketch, line drawing), sculpture (relief, round carving sketch, decorative modeling), composition design (plane composition, three-dimensional composition), anatomy and perspective foundation. 2. Color basis: Set sketch chromaticity, decorative chromaticity and color composition. 3. Mural material technology: provide China traditional heavy color painting, bronzing and restoration of ancient murals, western traditional wet mural technology, layered carving technology, ceramic technology, lacquer painting technology, mosaic technology, metal material modeling technology, and comprehensive application technology of various materials. 4. Composition theory and mural design (including social investigation and graduation thesis). 5. Social practice and art survey.
