Who is the Grandmaster of Taoism

Wang Chongyang is the Grandmaster of Taoism.

Wang Chongyang was a Chinese Taoist priest of the Song Dynasty, the founder of Quanzhen Taoism, a native of Xianyang, who changed his name to Hiang (or Che) after joining Taoism, and was known as Zhiming (知明), or Chongyang Zi (重阳子), and referred to himself as "The Harmful Wind" (害风). Wang Chongyang advocated the equality of the three religions, pointing out that "Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, and the three religions have never been the same", and was honored as one of the "Northern Five Ancestors".

Wang Chongyang emphasized the study of life and the practice of internal alchemy, and advocated the removal of worldly desires. He believed that alcohol, sex, wealth, and gas would make people sink and lose their spirit, so they should be simple in their life and food in order to succeed in their cultivation. In addition to abstaining from alcohol, sex, wealth and energy, Wang Chongyang also taught his disciples to keep their hearts quiet, live a simple and natural life, and cultivate their lives.

Besides Wang Chongyang, Taoist ancestors include Huangdi, Laozi, Sanmao and Erge.

There are five kinds of Yellow Emperor in Taoism: the first is the Central Central Yuan Ling Yuanjun; the second is the Central Yellow Emperor; the third is the Yellow Emperor in the sun; the fourth is the Yellow Emperor of Zhongyue; and the fifth is the Yellow Emperor of the historical legendary figure. Er Ge mainly refers to Ge Xuan (葛玄), the ancestor of the Lingbao School of Taoism in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and his grandson Ge Hong (葛洪), a religious scholar, scientist, medicine man, chemist and theorist of Taoism in the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
