What do Takkar women call the Sheikha
Takkar women are called Sheikhs. Qatar is an emirate (the equivalent of a kingdom), and all members of the ruling Al-Thani family are given the title "Sheikh" (or "Sheikha" for women) before their names, which is similar to the princes of the Qing Dynasty in China. The Head of State is not called "King" but "Amir". The Amir is not addressed as "His Majesty" but as "His Highness". The Deputy Emir, the Crown Prince, is also addressed as "His Highness". Qataris are usually addressed as Mr., Ms. and Miss.
