What does “obituary” mean?

An obituary, also called an obituary or an "obituary", is the sad news that a person announces after his or her death.

It also refers to a practical document used by the bereaved family to announce the death of a person to relatives, relatives, friends and the public. News about a person's death can be released through media such as newspapers, television stations, radio broadcasts, telephones, telegraphs, faxes, Cambodian posts or emails.

Nowadays, there are three common types of obituaries: general style, announcement style and news report style.

The obituary notice should be issued before the farewell ceremony to the body, so that the relatives and friends of the deceased can make necessary arrangements and preparations in time, such as preparing wreaths, elegiac couplets, etc.

Obituaries can only use yellow and white paper. White is used for the funeral of the elders, and yellow is used for the funeral of the younger ones.
