The methods of worship are three times three kowtows and three times nine kowtows.
Three kowtows and three prostrations: the ritual is to join palms and bow down, then kneel and kowtow, as in "one kowtow and one prostration". After the first kowtow, stand up and take a half-step back; stop for a few seconds, clap your hands again, take a half-step forward, bow down, kneel on bended knees and kowtow, and repeat the process three times; three kowtows and nine kowtows: in fact, it's three times to repeat the "one kowtow and three kowtows", with two times to stand up in the middle of the process.
The order of the graves should be decided in accordance with the "affinity and proximity", first to go to the ancestors of the generation, the relationship is relatively close to the worship, and then go to worship the generation, the relationship is not so close to the ancestors, if the affinity of the same, then according to the family in the seniority of the family to determine the ritual steps: weeding → fill in the soil → sweeping → depicting the color of the graves → hang up the paper → on the sacrifice → light incense → worship blessing → kneeling kowtow. incense → honoring blessings → kneeling kowtow → burning money → laying wine → kneeling kowtow → kneeling kowtow.
What to do with food for worship
Take it home directly: This is also a local custom, usually after taking it home, if you can eat it, eat it, following the principle of not wasting, especially some fruit, will be given directly to the children to eat, said that after eating such offerings, the ancestors will be able to bless the descendants. Put it on the grave: I heard a friend tell me that in their local area, after the sacrifice, the offerings will be left on the grave and left to be eaten by insects and ants, which is considered to be an accumulation of merit.
Pour it out: After the sacrifice, there are words to pour it out directly, either beside the grave, or take it home and pour it out, meaning that it is not good for the living to eat what the ancestors have eaten; for the person who sacrifices, if it is after the sacrifice, directly take the offerings home, then as long as the offerings are not contaminated and are still relatively clean, then it can be consumed, and there is nothing wrong with it. If you have a local tradition, the offerings must be left at the gravesite
