Enlightenment of Chinese Studies-Sixteen Temperaments
Excerpted from The Enlightenment of Rhythm by Che, a litterateur in Qing Dynasty, Volume I, The Second Winter, the original text is as follows:
Spring to summer, autumn to winter, dusk to morning bell. Seeing mountains is for playing with water, and bamboo is for pine trees. Feng Fuhu, Ye Gonglong and butterfly dancers are singing in pairs.
Interpretation: Spring and summer are relative, autumn and winter are relative, and the drum at night is relative to the clock in the morning. Seeing mountains is opposite to playing with water, and bamboo is opposite to pine. Feng Fu hit the tiger with his bare hands, but Ye Gong didn't like real dragons.
The enlightenment of rhythm is the enlightenment reading for training children to cope with and master rhythm. According to rhyme, it includes astronomy, geography, flowers and trees, birds and beasts, figures and artifacts. From single word pairs to double word pairs, three word pairs, five word pairs, seven word pairs to eleven word pairs, phonology is harmonious and catchy, from which pronunciation, vocabulary and rhetoric training are obtained. From single words to multiple words, it reads like singing.

Research on Modern Educational Value of Melody Enlightenment
First, the consciousness and inheritance value of China traditional culture.
As the only surviving four ancient civilizations in the world history, China's cultural heritage can still last for thousands of years, which is bound to have profound cultural consciousness and cultural details. As a model text of cultural tradition, Mongolian teaching materials are the necessary way to inherit and continue traditional culture.
As an excellent enlightenment reading of China, The Enlightenment of Melody is a treasure in poetry theory. It skillfully integrates traditional moral thoughts and humanistic and historical knowledge into short and pithy dialogues, such as "Benevolence is right, propriety is right, Yu Shun is right, and agriculture is right", and describes Fuxi Shennong's selfless and beautiful traditional morality of caring for the people and giving way to the country's interests.
Learning "The Enlightenment of Melody" in childhood is a process of contacting and learning China traditional culture, and it is also a process of restoring cultural self-confidence and realizing cultural conscious value.
Second, to promote the value of classical Chinese teaching
For many years, classical Chinese teaching has been a big problem that puzzles Chinese teaching. As early as 1960s, Zhang Zhigong, an educator in China, put forward a very insightful solution to this problem: If we affirm that young people in general education should have the ability to read classical Chinese thoroughly, then the previous experience in using rhyme knowledge may be of great reference.
Modern children have been exposed to Mandarin since childhood. It is very difficult to learn classical Chinese directly, and there must be transitional training between vernacular Chinese and classical learning. Therefore, by familiarizing children with reading and reciting a number of rhyming books, such as "Enlightenment of Temperament", we can initially cultivate children's sense of classical Chinese language and familiarize them with common sense of ancient Chinese culture, which can effectively lay the foundation for children's reading ability in classical Chinese.
Therefore, purely from the perspective of language learning, children can be familiar with some classical Chinese sentence patterns and the usage of function words by reciting, which is of great benefit to their future classical Chinese learning.
Third, the reference for compiling Chinese teaching materials.
The ancient Mongolian textbooks in China are unique and rich in compiling experience, which has important enlightenment and necessary reference for the current compilation of Chinese textbooks. Generally speaking, the following experiences are worth learning from in the compilation of Enlightenment of Temperament.
1, knowledge imparting is closely combined with moral cultivation.
The Enlightenment of Rhythm is an ancient teaching material for enlightenment, which can organically combine literacy education, basic knowledge education and ethics education according to children's psychological characteristics, age structure and knowledge level, fully embodying the principle of the integration of literature and Taoism. First, as far as the knowledge content of textbooks is concerned, the enlightenment of temperament is intensive cultivation, rich in information, astronomical geography, historical allusions, moral etiquette, common sense of things ... it is almost all-encompassing.
Using this textbook, children can kill two birds with one stone by mastering a lot of practical knowledge while learning the language and increasing their knowledge. However, subject teaching is implemented in modern education, and Chinese in mother tongue education pays attention to the training of "listening, speaking, reading and writing", which highlights the characteristics of Chinese subject in arrangement, but inadvertently reduces the knowledge content of teaching materials.
Secondly, although the book focuses on literacy and learning rhythm, it also involves the cultivation of moral quality, such as: "Reading would rather stab the stock than cook porridge than burn your beard. Han Xin's martial arts can spread all over the world, and Zuo Fu has three capitals. Meng Xunwen openly talks about good nature, and Yan's Confucius asks questions, which enriches the content of China's ancient moral teachings as much as possible. Familiarity with these contents plays a very important role in the cultivation of children's moral personality.
2. Make full use of the characteristics of China language.
Chinese characters can be divided into four tones, which contain both rhythm and distinguish between sound quality and meaning. The ancients wrote poems and lyrics with strict rules on rhythm and rhythm. The use of phonetic rhetoric techniques, such as pitch fluctuation, flat tone, double tones, overlapping words, overlapping sounds and rhyming, can all form cadence and repeated melody beauty.
We know that in the stage of literacy education, it will be difficult for children to learn a word that is not directly pronounced, it will be boring, they are not interested in learning, and it will be difficult to remember if they barely learn it.
"Melody Enlightenment" makes full use of the characteristics of Chinese characters, with many rhymes, catchy reading and powerful sound, which improves the readability and easy memory, and enables children to be influenced by the beauty of language and sound in the process of reciting.
Formally, melody enlightenment not only makes full use of the characteristics of Chinese, facilitates children's reading and meets children's needs of learning literacy, but also implies the learning of various Chinese abilities. In addition to the study of classical Chinese sentence patterns and function words, it also includes the study of article composition and expression.
3. Try to meet the child's age and psychological characteristics.
According to children's psychological characteristics, children's education should pay attention to familiar reading of basic knowledge. Reciting a certain amount of knowledge of temperament can cultivate and exercise students' memory, accumulate vocabulary, learn expressions and strengthen their sense of language, and deepen their understanding of the contents of books.
The Enlightenment of Melody is not only suitable for children to read in form, but also pays special attention to the easy-to-understand selection of materials, concrete image, liveliness and closeness to life. A large number of historical stories, typical figures, folklore and popular and interesting stories were selected. These interesting contents can easily stimulate children's enthusiasm for reading and enjoy reading.
Therefore, when compiling Chinese textbooks, we should give full consideration to the interest and diversity of textbooks and improve students' interest in reading and reciting.
