After the founding of New China, China's rural areas have experienced 4 changes and the impact of each change

Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, agriculture has gone through four major changes. The first was the land reform in the early years of the founding of the PRC, which abolished the feudal land ownership system and enabled hundreds of millions of poor peasants to obtain land. The second was the cooperative agricultural movement and the people's commune movement in the mid-to-late 1950s, which changed the land from the decentralized operation of one family to collective labor and distribution according to work, and formed the "three-tier ownership, team-based" mode of operation in the planned economy. The third was the Family Contract Responsibility System (FCRS), which was implemented after 1978, in which land was divided among farming households in the form of family contracts and decentralized management. This mode of operation, which combined farmers' labor with their harvests, greatly stimulated farmers' enthusiasm for production and led to a period of rapid growth in China's agricultural economy in the early 1980s. The fourth time was in the 1990s, on the basis of the household contract responsibility system, there was a revolutionary change, i.e., industrialized agricultural management. And it was the latter two changes that saved China and created the miracle of feeding a quarter of the world's population on 7% of the land.
