Cultural heritage widely distributed in the Yangtze River basin is an important carrier to protect, inherit and carry forward the Yangtze River culture. Under the background that "* * * focuses on great protection rather than great development" in the Yangtze River basin, in order to protect and inherit the cultural heritage resources in the Yangtze River basin, cities in the Yangtze River basin have made some achievements in cultural heritage protection, but they still face some outstanding problems.

(1) Achievements have been made in the protection of cultural heritage in the Yangtze River Basin.

First of all, archaeological and academic research has achieved fruitful results. In recent years, many outstanding progress has been made in archaeological excavations in the Yangtze River basin. The further excavation of silk fabrics or spinning wheels in ancient sites such as Liangzhu Site and Hemudu Site in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, the excavation of ceramic or stone spinning wheels in ancient sites such as Qujialing in Jingshan, Hubei Province and Tangjiagang in Anxiang, Hunan Province in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and the excavation of silk remnants in ancient sites such as Sanxingdui Site in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River further confirmed the important position of the Yangtze River basin in China's early silk civilization 4,000 years ago. Especially from 20 19 to 20021year, a series of rich archaeological excavations at Sanxingdui site not only made it possible to further trace the cultural history and civilization history of the Yangtze River basin and even the Chinese nation, but also provided material support for the early cultural exchanges between the upper, middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River basin and even the Yellow River basin. With the establishment of professional academic institutions such as the Institute of Archaeology of the Yangtze River Civilization, a large number of academic studies on the Yangtze River culture have been carried out, which has played an important role in further explaining the historical origin, rich connotation and value of the times of the Yangtze River culture.

Second, the protection of cultural heritage resources in the Yangtze River Basin has been strengthened. The Yangtze River basin is rich in cultural heritage resources. The Yangtze River Economic Belt has 1 1 provinces and cities * * * with 14 world cultural heritages, 3 world natural and cultural dual heritages and 1600 national key cultural relics protection units; There are nearly 1300 representative projects of national intangible cultural heritage, and more than 6,000 intangible cultural heritage at or above the provincial level. In recent years, the provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Basin have further strengthened the protection of cultural heritage. In the process of protecting cultural heritage, we should follow the principle of planning first, paying equal attention to protection and development, and pay attention to the legislative protection of cultural heritage. Implement the concept of legal, early and scientific protection, attach importance to the legal construction of cultural heritage protection, constantly improve the system and mechanism of cultural relics protection, and implement the regulatory responsibility of cultural relics protection. Coordinate the promotion of cultural relics protection in urban and rural construction, delimit the scope of cultural relics protection and strengthen the management of cultural relics protection. Pay attention to the scientific protection of cultural heritage and the cultivation of intangible cultural heritage inheritors, improve the system construction of heritage protection, actively explore digital protection means, strengthen the display and dissemination of cultural heritage, and strengthen the integrated development of cultural heritage and tourism.

Third, the development of cultural heritage tourism projects has increased. Important node cities in the Yangtze River basin, especially Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan, Nanjing, Shanghai and other places, coordinate urban, landscape, humanities and other elements, promote the deep integration of urban landscape, agriculture, cultural tourism, cultural heritage protection and tourism, and strive to build a golden tourist destination in the Yangtze River basin. First, around the cultural heritage and the landscape along the river, the construction of important heritage parks and ecological parks will be carried out to upgrade the original scenic spots, such as the Huanghua Island Archaeological Heritage Park Project in Chongqing, the Panlongcheng Heritage Park Project in Wuhan, and the construction of the nine "city living rooms" in Nanjing. Second, actively introduce social capital to inject vitality, build cultural heritage tourism projects of the Yangtze River, and constantly enhance the cultural influence of the city, such as the cultural heritage tourism projects of Chongqing Yan Feng Three Kingdoms, Wuhan Yin Zhi Cruise Project, Yellow Crane Tower Night Tour Project and so on.
