What are the five events of Wuhan Military Games?
Military world games, abbreviated as military world games or Military Games in Chinese, is a large-scale comprehensive sports meeting with the highest specifications of global military personnel sponsored by the International Military Sports Council. Held every four years for 7 to 10 days, there are 24 basic sports, and the participation scale is about 100 countries.
In scale, it is a global competition second only to the Olympic Games. It is also an important platform for the armed forces of various countries to display their strength image, promote friendly exchanges and expand their international influence in peacetime, and is known as the "Military Olympics".
The 7th Military Games will be held in Wuhan, China, and all 24 events will be held in four sections along the Yangtze River in the host city of Wuhan. This is also the first time in the world at a military sports meeting.
The military pentathlon originated from 1946. A French captain named De Bruce originally wanted to organize a sports competition organized by the army. After parachuting in the designated area adopted by the Dutch paratroopers at that time, they continued to shoot and drop bombs through obstacles and rivers. Later, after adaptation and deletion, it formed the most ideal military training method in the international sense, namely the military pentathlon.
