What are the historical stories about Suzhou gardens?
1. Lion Grove is a famous classical garden in Yuan Dynasty, and there is a scenic spot called Li Xueting, which contains the allusions of the famous Chengmen Li Xue. Cheng Yi was a famous Neo-Confucianism and thinker in the Northern Song Dynasty. At the age of 24, he became a monk and taught in Kaifeng. Once, his students Shi Yang and You Zuo went to Chengfu, Henan Province to visit their teacher.
It was the middle of winter, and I saw Mr. Cheng Yi in the hall with his eyes closed. In fact, he was pretending to sleep and observing. Seeing this, the two disciples quietly withdrew and waited in the yard. Unexpectedly, it began to snow. They braved the snow and waited for a long time. Franz Chen opened his eyes and saw that the snow had buried the instep of the students. Allusions advocate and exaggerate the traditional thought of respecting teachers and valuing education.
2. Lingering Garden, one of the four famous gardens in China, has a building named Quxilou on the east side of the central pool. The rare octagonal doorway is engraved with the word "Quxi", which was written by Wen Zhiming. Quxi originated from the allusions of Qushui. In the ninth year of Yonghe in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Wang Xizhi, a book sage, and 42 relatives and friends played the game of "Quliu Shuixiang" in Lanting, Shaoxing, Zhejiang. Eleven of them each wrote two poems, fifteen wrote one, eleven handed in blank paper, and each was fined three times.
Wang Xizhi put these poems together, prefaced them with silk cocoon paper and moustache, counting 28 lines and 324 words, which is the world-famous Preface to Lanting Collection, praised by later generations as the best running script in the world. In his article, Wang Xizhi not only described the beautiful natural scenery of Lanting, but also expressed the happy mood of his friends. His calligraphy is full of vigor and vitality, including more than 20 characters of "Zhi".
3. There is a scenic spot called Bai Xuanshi in Yiyuan Garden, which is a portrayal of the famous allusion "Mi Fei worships the stone". Mi Fei, a painter and calligrapher in the Northern Song Dynasty, was crazy about stones. He was appointed as the military supervisor of Wuwei prefecture, and suddenly he saw a strange stone in the courtyard of the mansion. He screamed, That's enough for me to worship. Then he changed his official clothes, made a whole crown with a water board in his hand, bowed down and respectfully called this stone the abbot.
There is a building called Wenmei Pavilion on the top of the mountain near the city wall in the west of Lion Forest. Literally, it originated from Wang Wei's poem in the Tang Dynasty: You from my old country, tell me what happened there! ; When you pass by my window, are plum blossoms blooming? But as far as the content is concerned, I am afraid it is related to Buddhist allusions. Once, a Buddhist named Mei asked his master Mazu, what is Buddha? Mazu said: Heart is Buddha. It means that the Buddha is not far from people, that is, the heart proves that the Buddha is self-nature, so don't ask for it from outside.
The most popular explanation is that your self-mind is Buddha. The apprentice suddenly realized that he had gone to a Buddhist temple elsewhere as the host, always remembering the word "that is, the heart is the Buddha" and studying Buddhism tirelessly, and the Buddhism became more and more profound. Mazu sent someone to inquire about "Mei". When he heard this, he repeatedly said: Mei is ripe, Mei is ripe.
5. The brick-carved gatehouse in Wang Shi Garden is called the first gatehouse in Jiangnan. On the east side of the gatehouse, there is a three-dimensional opera painting of "Wang Wen travels to Xi 'an". Of course, this is related to the famous trip to Xi 'an in Zhou Wenwang. In order to put an end to Shang Zhouwang's evil deeds, Zhou Wenwang, who was eager to seek wisdom, came to Weishui, knelt down on one knee and asked Jiang Taigong, who was sitting in front of him, to help the government, surrounded by civil and military ministers. The scene is very grand.
6. There is a scenic spot called Xiao Canglang in the middle of the Humble Administrator's Garden, which reflects the story of Qu Yuan and the fisherman. When Qu Yuan was exiled by Chu Huaiwang, the fisherman asked him why he had offended Chu Huaiwang. Qu yuan said: the world is turbid and I am alone, and the world is drunk and I am awake alone, so let it go. So, in order to comfort Qu Yuan, the fisherman sang a ballad loudly: The surging water is crystal clear, and I can hold my tassel; The turbid water in the rough waves can be used to drown my feet.
This means that if the dynasty is wise and cherishes talents, you should wash off the hat and tassel for him to govern the country; On the contrary, if he is ignorant, you will live in seclusion and entertain yourself with your feet.
7. Next to the pool on the west side of the Shizilin rockery group, there is a peak lake stone, which looks like a monk in a robe and floats on the water. This is the incarnation of Dharma, the ancestor of Buddhism, expressing the famous allusion of Zen Buddhism-a reed crossing the river. After talking with Liang Wudi, the bodhi old zu seems to be aware of something when he was young, but Buddhism has drifted away.
Regret, Liang Wudi busy send someone to rush and chase. When I got to the river, I saw that there was no boat and there was no boat. The pursuer thought it was successful, but I thought the old monk couldn't cross the river. Unexpectedly, Dharma pulled up a reed with a whoosh and threw it into the river, immediately turning it into a boat, and Dharma set sail calmly.
