Fu Zhongwen practiced Tai Ji Chuan's basic skills.

There are two understandings about this problem. One is that Tai Ji Chuan has certain basic skills such as "horse stance just look" or "horse stance just look". To practice Tai Ji Chuan, we should start with these basic skills or cooperate with them. There is a view that there is no special basic exercise such as "Ma Bu" or "Ma Bu" in practicing Tai Ji Chuan, or this kind of exercise is unnecessary, which has been included in Tai Ji Chuan's movements. If you read some different Tai Ji Chuan books, you will find that some Tai Ji Chuan only wrote Tai Ji Chuan's posture and pushing hands, without standing piles, standing posture and other exercises, and without the strict Gong Zhuang requirements as Shaolin Boxing. Here is an example.

For example, practicing Yang-style Tai Ji Chuan is not mentioned in the book Yang-style Tai Ji Chuan written by later generations of Yang, but in fact, Yang-style Tai Ji Chuan's fixed movements such as "lifting" and "lifting" are practiced as a kind of Gong Zhuang in some Tai Ji Chuan books, which can be said to be a basic skill exercise. Chen Tai Ji Chuan's earliest work is Chen Xin's Lecture Notes on Taiji Diagram, in which there is no practice by Gong Zhuang. As for later generations, it is their creation and invention to add some basic skills exercises when writing the biography of Chen Taiji. I once asked the descendants of some sects in Tai Ji Chuan's family. They said that Tai Ji Chuan and Gong Zhuang didn't have special exercises, and the movements in the boxing frame could be practiced separately, which is the practice of basic skills.

But simple exercises should be carried out according to the requirements of Tai Ji Chuan's essentials. Almost all Tai Ji Chuan practiced "Qi" as an important skill, especially Yang Tai and Tai Ji Chuan attached great importance to "Qi". Some descendants of Tai Ji Chuan also wrote a book specifically for "Ascension" as the basic motivation method for Yang Tai and Tai Ji Chuan to practice. Now, although there are various opinions about Tai Ji Chuan's basic dynamic exercises, the methods of returning to the original exercises are those mentioned above. If you practice Tai Ji Chuan, you can follow Tai Ji Chuan's main points and choose the movements you think are appropriate as the basic practice. In principle, there is no contradiction. The key is whether you can train according to the requirements of a certain sport when practicing, which is often difficult for ordinary people to do. For example, if a person practices Tai Ji Chuan immediately after doing push-ups, he may be unable to relax physically and mentally for a while, and the effect is often not good. If you can really enter the realm of practicing Tai Ji Chuan at once, it should be said that there is no problem.

It's best not to practice Tai Ji Chuan at the same time, when you can't master the essentials of practice well. Especially for a period of time, it is not suitable to mix Shaolin Boxing with Tai Ji Chuan, which is particularly difficult to grasp. Even two kinds of Tai Ji Chuan are not suitable for practicing at the same time. When I say two kinds of Tai Ji Chuan, I mean Tai Ji Chuan, where the requirements of folk teaching are obviously different, rather than the routine prescribed by the state. For example, to practice Yang-style Tai Ji Chuan, it is best not to practice Zhaobao Tai Ji Chuan and Chen-style Tai Ji Chuan immediately. Because different Tai Ji Chuan's movements, ideas and internal operation modes are different, it is difficult to master them in practice, and sometimes there are deviations. This is my own experience and the understanding gained by summing up teaching practice, and it is a family opinion. If you think you have practiced according to certain requirements, you can stick to it and produce good results. The so-called good effect means that after practicing, you are in good health, eat well and sleep well, and you can continue to practice without any discomfort. If there are adverse reactions, you can stop practicing and sum up those problems. That is to say, you trust your feelings, which is the most reliable. There are often people who are superstitious about authority, but doing what the authority says can't achieve the expected results. In this case, you have to believe in yourself. Teachers include famous teachers and confused teachers. Sometimes a famous teacher may not be able to point out from your reality. Only you can know about yourself. This is a dialectical requirement, which requires both teachers and self-experience, so that there will be no deviation.
