On March 28th, Tan Yanyu attended the "The World is Beautiful Because of You-2008 Influencing the World Chinese Ceremony" and received the award.

In the evening of January 12th, VIVIENNE TAM and ELLE launched the "Save the Panda Project" charity dinner in Beijing. The dinner scene was decorated with panda as the theme, black and white as the main colors, and the bamboo forest as the background. In the evening, five pieces of Vivienne Tam's panda-themed clothing, the latest HP laptop designed by her, and a panda jade sculpture named "Reunion" provided by Shengshi Jade were auctioned off, and all proceeds were donated to the Wolong National Nature Reserve in Sichuan Province, to be used for the reconstruction of the panda base in Wolong. Vivienne Tam creates a limited edition laptop for Hewlett-Packard (HP). The peony design is seen as a combination of Asian and Western cultures, ancient and modern styles, technology and fashion.

Vivienne Tam designed nine outfits featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse for Hong Kong Disney to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Rat. In December 2007, to celebrate the Chinese Year of the Rat, Vivienne Tam joined hands with The Walt Disney Company to launch a Mickey and Minnie collection of clothing in Shanghai.

In conjunction with the Hong Kong Design Centre's 9707 Image Project, Vivienne Tam designed a T-shirt to be sold in major boutique retailers worldwide.

In September 2007, Vivienne Tam announced the opening of her flagship store in New York City, located on the first floor of the 40 Mercer Street building*** 2,200 sq. ft. The building was designed by Jean Nouvel and constructed by Andre Balaz. The building's spectacular glass fa?ade and red glass canopy perfectly complement Vivienne Tam's highly individualistic designs, which perfectly illustrate the blend of Asian femininity and the essence of modern modernity.

During the 10-day MasterCard Hong Kong Fashion Festival 2007, Vivienne Tam collaborated with fashion designers to present a Fall/Winter 2007 fashion show that was both stylish and luxurious.

At the 2007 Singapore Fashion Festival, Vivienne Tam unveiled her Fall 2008 "Jade" collection, featuring international supermodel Ai Tominaga. To celebrate the opening of the new Suzhou Museum in China, Vivienne Tam launched a limited edition silk scarf. This new museum was designed by the famous architect.

To promote the fight against breast cancer, Vivienne Tam has designed a limited edition T-shirt, which will only be sold at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York, with a portion of the proceeds going to various breast foundations.

Invited by the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, she participated in the signature launch of Vivienne Tam's reprint of "China Chic" organized by the institute. The launch was attended by many design students and her fans.

The prestigious Travel & Leisure Magazine featured Vivienne Tam's Shanghai quest for inspiration for her Spring/Summer 2007 collection.

Vivienne Tam designed the "Platinum Wedding" in collaboration with Platinum Guild International (PGI). On April 28th at the Beijing International Fashion Festival, she showed three dresses: a western-style white wedding dress, a Chinese-style red wedding dress, and a purple wedding party dress. The white bridal gown is worth about 150,000 U.S. dollars.

Because of the good sales performance, in April 2006, Vivienne Tam reprinted the book "China Chic" in small quantities. In the book, Vivienne Tam shows her love for Chinese elements and mentions many local cultures that have inspired her since her childhood. China Chic is a window to Chinese culture and clothing. If you are interested in Chinese art, culture, history and clothing, it is your bible. The book is available throughout the U.S. at Barnes & Noble bookstores, Border bookstores, Amazon.com and fine specialty bookstores.

Vivienne Tam launched her Fall/Winter 2006 collection at Roppongi Hills in Tokyo on March 17, 2006, opening the show to world-renowned photographers. The press gave high praise to this presentation.

Vivien Tam was awarded the "Fashion Designer Style of the Year Award" by the South China Morning Post in collaboration with Harper's Bazaar magazine readers' polls. Other category winners were fashion photographer Wing Shya, fashion stylist Stephen Chow, model Qiqi, cover girl Qiqi, and fashion stylist Stephen Chow. In February 2006, Vivienne Tam opened her first store at Parkson Department Store in KLCC, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Vivienne Tam launched a collection of dresses in 2005, including evening dresses and increasingly formal dresses, which have been available since March 2006 in high-end boutiques and department stores.

Vivienne Tam is a member of DIFFA, Infiniti and Conde Nast Media Group's "vibrant" design forum, which was established to promote and explore cutting edge fashion, architecture and industrial design. Vivienne Tam was part of a six-person panel that included Nobu Matsuhisa, David Rockwell, Karim Rashid, Shiro Nakamur, and Koji Nagano. The series will be broadcast on the website, as well as appearing in more than a dozen major publications including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Architectural Digest, and more.

Hong Kong Design Center awards "2005 World Chinese Designer Excellence Award". Vivienne Tam was the Asian speaker at the Business of Design Week Gala Dinner. The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., hosts the "Modern Chinese Costume Exhibition" featuring Vivienne Tam's designs as part of the Chinese Cultural Festival in October, with designers such as Anna Sui, Andrew Gn, Derek Lam, Peter Son, Vera Wang and others. Peter Son, and Vera Wang, among others, and attended by WWD, The Wall Street Journal, Harper's Bazaar, The Financial Times, The Los Angeles Times, and The Washington Times.

Vivienne Tam took the first step in her Asian expansion with the opening of her first flagship store in Xintiandi, the center of luxury retail in Shanghai.

Speaking at the Global Fortune Forum in Beijing, China. Focusing on the strong growth of the luxury market, the forum brought together some of the world's most successful and influential business leaders to discuss China's growing power and the new affluent. The panel was organized by Vivienne Tam together with Mr. Paolo Zegna, President of Ermenegildo Zegna Group. Each designer discussed women's wear and men's wear.

Vivienne Tam, who co-founded Style and Voice with Jessica Alba and the CFDA to raise funds for breast cancer on multiple levels on behalf of Fashion Target Breast Caner, designed an Ipod, a customized set with Alba's logo. Vivienne Tam designed an Ipod custom cover with Alba's personalized playlist, which was auctioned off in June alongside other fashion and entertainment industry leaders.

Vivienne Tam received Hong Kong's Outstanding Businesswoman Award.

In the first celebrity advertising strategy for Northwest Airlines, influential Asian celebrities, artists, and designers, including Vivienne Tam, were enlisted to promote the airline in order to elevate their business status.

Asia Society and Vivienne Tam hosted an "Asia on My Mind" dinner at the Vivienne Tam boutique in SOHO. Asia on My Mind", a "Shanghai Night" event held at the VIVIENNE TAM boutique in SOHO, New York, which attracted 200 guests. Guests included celebrity author Amy Tan, supermodel Irina Pantaeva, Lord Lichfield and more.

VIVIENNE TAM co-hosted Central Park Conservancy's "Taste of Summer" party at the Manhattan boutique, which was attended by a host of New York celebrities.

Kim Harlan, Miss USA 2004, visited China in November wearing a Vivienne Tam design. Internationally renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten invited Vivienne Tam to design the uniform for his new Chinese restaurant "66" in New York City.

Vivienne Tam was asked to design the iconic "Fan" for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, which just opened in New York City. "The 'Fan' logo is located in the lobby of the luxury hotel and is the first time the hotel group has appointed a fashion designer to design their corporate identity.

VIVIENNE TAM was invited by the Shanghai Pudong New Area People's Government and the Shanghai International Fashion Service Center to participate in the 2003 Shanghai Fashion Week, which featured international fashion designers such as Vivienne Tam, Salvatore Ferragamo, Lanvin, Paul & Shark, Vivienne Westwood, and Aigner. The event was held at Binjiang Avenue in Pudong, Shanghai and attracted over 100 media representatives from China and abroad.

VIVIENNE TAM's cultural and fashion book "China Chic" is selected by the New York Book Fair. VIVIENNE TAM's cultural fashion book "China Chic" was selected as the winner of the Best Book Design category and the Best Book Cover Design category respectively by the New York Book Fair. VIVIENNE TAM opens a boutique in Tokyo, her second in Japan after the Kobe boutique.

VIVIENNE TAM publishes her first book, China Chic. In this 314-page color book, TAM blends her memories of growing up in China with history and culture. Vivienne Tam is invited to design and build her first car for GM's "Concept Cure" program, with proceeds going to the Nina Hyde Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The car toured the country and won awards for performance and design using the dragon as a symbol, and Vivienne Tam's car succeeded in evoking a sense of going back to basics.

VIVIENNE TAM showed some of her most famous designs at an exhibition called "China Chic" at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. The show illustrated the evolution of Chinese clothing styles and the influence of Chinese style on modern international fashion.

At the Lighthouse in Glasgow, Scotland, the "Red Image" collection, featuring red and black coats with images of Mao Zedong, was originally designed by Vivienne Tam for Barney's New York Holiday 1997 window display.

The Victoria and Albert Museum in London, which has Vivienne Tam's "Mao Zedong" collection in its permanent collection, becoming the third museum to house a Vivienne Tam fashion collection, hosted a temporary "Mao Zedong" event at the museum. A temporary "Mao Fever" exhibition of Vivienne Tam designs was held at the museum.

Superstar Julia Roberts wore a full VIVIENNE TAM ensemble to a press conference and premiere with Hugh Grant, a co-star in the movie "Starcatcher. The red beaded dress she wore was featured in most international magazines. VIVIENNE TAM signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Itochu Corporation in Japan, which was widely promoted in Japan, and the Fall 98 collection was launched in two specialty stores.

VIVIENNE TAM was nominated for a CFDA Perry Ellis Award for fashion design.

VIVIENNE TAM designs the controversial Mao collection for Spring 95. TAM's black and white "Peony Flower" print dress is in the permanent collection of the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Releases its first collection under the East Wind Code label.
