classify
At present, there is no unified classification method for ceramic materials, which are usually divided into three categories: glass, glass-ceramics and engineering ceramics. Among them, engineering ceramics are divided into ordinary ceramics and special ceramics. Ordinary ceramics are also called traditional ceramics, and special ceramics are also called modern ceramics.
Ceramic material is an inorganic non-metallic material made of natural or synthetic compounds through molding and high temperature sintering. It has the advantages of high melting point, high hardness, high wear resistance and oxidation resistance. It can be used as structural material, tool material and mold material. Because ceramics also have some special properties, they can also be used as functional materials.
