Introduction of He Long Stadium

On June 8th, 2003, 10, the He Long Stadium rebuilt on the original site was officially completed. It is like a hibiscus flower blooming in the center of the city.

Changsha He Long Stadium is located in the northwest of Changsha New Century Sports Culture Center. The main project has 8 floors (9 floors locally), with a construction area of 1 1.7586 million square meters. The external walls of more than 5 floors are arc shear walls, and the roof elevation is 28.8 meters at the bottom and 33 meters at the highest, which are distributed in a ladder shape. The whole frame consists of 484 frame bars. The main part of the whole appearance is decorated with the most popular glass curtain wall in the world today.

He Long Stadium can accommodate 60,000 spectators, and it is a steel roof project with a building area of 45,700 square meters and a steel consumption of 3,552 tons. He Long Stadium has four gates, east, west, north and south. The upper ends of the four doors adopt cable point glass curtain walls, and the exits of the four doors adopt large plate glass curtain walls. The entrance and exit of VIP passage adopts frame glass curtain wall structure, which is supported by steel skeleton and composite aluminum plate to ensure that all performances meet the design requirements. The "Flower of the Century" design of He Long Stadium skillfully combines traditional culture and modern art. The roof of the main stadium symbolizes a blooming hibiscus flower, which means applause and honor. The north and south facades of the main stadium are in the shape of "white cranes with bright wings", which symbolizes the sports cause of Changsha, Hunan, such as the spread of wings by white cranes.

The shape of the stadium is novel, majestic, romantic and symbolic: the top cover is composed of 12 petal-shaped aluminum-zinc plated plate (12 means just visiting, which reflects the cherish of time and the pursuit of speed). From north to south to east, the western layers are like white clouds, which reflects the design's understanding and grasp of the artistic beauty of "blue sky and white clouds". Things are like a curtain that is slowly opening, giving people a happy scene of bright stars, singing and dancing. The roof of the somersault dance looks like waves, and it seems that jubilant people set off waves, which conforms to the theme of vigorous unity and reminds Xiaoxiang people of the Xiangjiang River, the mother river. The petal-shaped steel frames are connected, and the spatial layering and form guidance under the eaves are deliberately highlighted, and the slight gradual relationship of plate transition is paid attention to, so as to further explore the modern roof to express the spatial curve and outline transmitted by the roof of ancient buildings.
