Did the Japanese plant northeast rice first?
The Japanese technique of rice dry cultivation and sparse planting was introduced to China in 1982. Dry farming and sparse planting of rice is the general name of dry farming and sparse planting in Honda rice fields and their supporting technologies. Dry cultivation refers to the cultivation of seedlings under the growth conditions close to dry land, and the roots of seedlings are developed. After transplanting, they will not turn green and directly enter normal growth. This planting method was put forward by Japanese rice expert Mr. Hara Shoichi and other scientists after decades of hard research. After being introduced into China, it was first planted in founder county and Wuchang County of Heilongjiang Province. Later, Heilongjiang Province introduced paddy field mechanization equipment from Japan. The yield of rice planted by this method is about 60% higher than that by direct seeding. Dry farming and sparse planting technology has not only taken root in Fangzheng, but also spread from north to south, and blossomed everywhere in China. Mr. Hara Shoichi has made outstanding contributions to solving the food problem in China, and was awarded the "International Science and Technology Cooperation Award" by our government.
