The main characteristics of Henan opera

Henan Opera originated in Kaifeng City, Henan Province, and is one of the five major operas in China. Its characteristics are sonorous singing, moderate intonation, clear articulation, mellow charm, vivid flesh and blood, and it is famous for being good at expressing the inner feelings of characters. Henan Opera has good singing skills, easy-to-understand lyrics, mostly seven sentences or cross-sentences, unique plate structure and relatively complete music program. Features of Henan Opera Henan Opera originated in the middle and late Ming Dynasty, and developed on the basis of popular songs in Henan, absorbing the singing arts such as Beiqu Xiansuo, Shaanxi Opera and Zhou Pu Bangzi. In the early days, it was named Henan Bangzi because its music accompaniment was played with jujube bangzi, and later it was called "Henan Opera" for short. The style of Henan Opera is warm and masculine, and it is good at performing grand scenes with strong local characteristics, simplicity and popularity, and bright and strong rhythm.
