Did the May 4th Movement rid China of the feudal society?
the may 4th movement is the beginning of new democracy, which has two meanings: the change of revolutionary leadership (bourgeoisie-proletariat) and the change of revolutionary tasks (anti-feudalism-anti-imperialism and anti-feudalism). It shook the family ethics of the whole traditional society in China by preaching democratic science, but it did not make China completely get rid of feudal society. The Revolution of 1911 only overthrew the feudal monarchy, but did not fundamentally touch the feudal social system. Many people have not yet understood what democracy means, and democracy and ideas only went deep into the hearts of the upper class.
