Peking Opera Singing Kindergarten Class Opera Activity Lesson Plan
Design Ideas
This group learning activity originates from the secondary theme "Amazing Chinese" under the current theme "I am Chinese" in my class. In this secondary theme, there is a content of Peking Opera face painting, which arouses children's curiosity and interest in Peking Opera. How can we respond to children's needs? So I decided to utilize Peking Opera to carry out teaching activities. Peking Opera songs have the flavor of Peking Opera as well as the style of songs, which is easier for young children to understand than pure Peking Opera. So I chose "Beijing, Our Capital" for group teaching activities. The tune of this song is similar to the Beijing opera, and with some rhythm of the gongs and meridians, it has a strong ethnic flavor, and the lyrics are simple and easy to understand, so that the children can have an understanding of the capital city of Beijing and its attractions and monuments, and let the children in the process of singing the song to the Beijing accent Beijing rhyme to have a further feeling and experience.
In terms of activity design, I take more account of children's development, respond to children's needs, and focus on children's experiences and feelings. I tried to let the children discover the unique flavor of Peking Opera through their independent discussions after enjoying the song, and could independently try to incorporate these characteristics into the song "Beijing, Our Capital" to make it more Peking Opera-like. During the activity, the teacher always affirms the children's discoveries and attempts, helps the children to sort out and enhance their experiences, and does not give standard, uniform answers.
During the activity, the older children were able to cooperate with others, which is also a sign of independence. Therefore, in the scattered exploration of the appearance of the action, the ability of the children have a preliminary desire to cooperate with each other to express, they cooperate to try a appearance of the action, further enhance the creativity, action expression, cooperation and interaction ability.
In short, we hope that this activity will bring children a happy experience and develop their love for the art of Peking Opera.
Activity Objectives
1. To feel the characteristics of Peking Opera and to understand the unique way of expression of Peking Opera, such as "dragging" and "appearance".
2. Interested in the performance of Peking Opera, and express their love for the motherland in singing.
Activity Preparation
1. Experience Preparation: Children initially learned to sing the song "Beijing, our capital".
2. Material preparation: computer, video, piano accompaniment, Peking Opera accompaniment tape, board drums, mantle and so on.
Activity process
I. Sing and listen: feel the characteristics of the Beijing opera
1. Children sing the song "Beijing, our capital".
2. Appreciate the video "Rap Face".
"Today, the teacher invited a very good singing young lady, let's listen carefully to the songs she sings."
3. Children discuss:
"What's different between this song sung by Missy and the songs we usually sing?"
(Children discuss freely after enjoying the video.)
"This is a song with the flavor of Peking Opera, we can call it Peking Song."
Design intention: this link is mainly to implement the first teaching goal, through singing the song a appreciate the video a explore the discovery, let the children feel the characteristics of the Peking Opera. The whole process reflects the children in the independent experience and feeling to form some perceptual understanding of the Peking Opera, to understand the differences between the Peking Opera and ordinary songs, to lay the foundation for the development of the second part of the activities.
Two, talk and sing: "Beijing, our capital"
1. Talk and sing the Beijing flavor of the Beijing song.
(1) "What does Missy's voice sound like when she sings Beijing songs?"
(2) "Does Missy sing well? How is this song different from the songs we usually sing?"
Young children are likely to answer:
It's a bit like Peking Opera.
There's a drag when you sing it.
The young lady's eyes are wide open when she sings.
(3) Summary: "The song sung by the young lady is not an ordinary song, but a song with the flavor of Peking Opera, a bit like Peking Opera and a bit like a song, such a song we call it Peking Opera."
(4) "Can you sing 'Beijing, Our Capital' with a strong, loud voice, singing the flavor of Peking Opera?"
The children sing the song once.
2. Feel and experience the dragging accent in Peking Opera.
(1) Children try to sing with long dragging voice.
The children look for lines suitable for dragging voice and try it.
"Which line in the song do you think you can drag your voice longer when you sing it?"
Teachers and children compete in a dragging competition.
"How is it that the teacher can drag her tone so long? Have you discovered my little secret?"
Children try to sing the long drawn-out sentences by putting them into the song.
(2) Watch the video of a Peking opera singer dragging her voice.
"Your dragging sound is quite long, but it's still a little bit different from the Peking Opera actors, let's listen and watch it again."
3. Try to show the appearance in Peking Opera.
(1) Enjoy the video "Rap Face" again.
"What else is special about the young lady when she sings this Peking song?"
(2) Children learn to do the debut movement.
(Mimic as a group or individually, depending on the children's immediate response.)
Toddlers try the five senses debut.
Toddlers try a collaborative appearance of the head and the five senses.
*Give toddlers an idea of what appearances mean.
"Showing off your most divine pose for everyone to see is the debut movement in Peking Opera."
(3) Let the children choose their favorite pictures to imitate the debut action.
"Peking Opera actors perform all kinds of debut movements. Today, the teacher has prepared many pictures of Peking Opera actors' debut movements for you, so you can go to see and learn them."
(4) Children try to perform.
"Who would like to show the imitated movements to everyone?"
"Don't tell everyone yet, let's guess which action the child who came up to demonstrate did."
(Combine individual and group performances.)
Design intention: this link to implement the difficult points of teaching. The children, based on their own experience accumulated in the first session, transformed their perceptual knowledge into practical experience and experimentation by singing the Beijing flavor in singing, feeling the drag, imitating the appearance and so on. In the whole process of the activity teachers are always based on the needs of young children, fully give young children the space to play; in the teacher-child interaction, teachers encourage young children to explore and discover on their own, focusing on the process of experience, young children's singing and acting process is relatively relaxed and happy.
Three: Singing and Acting: Performing and Singing "Beijing, Our Capital"
Children try to change the song and then sing it completely.
"Children, just now we used several ways to make a change in the song, the first way is to sing with a strong voice, the second way is to sing with a long drag (where you can drag it), and the third way is to sing it with the addition of a godly debut action (let the children freely choose to do the debut action of the singing words). Now let's use all three ways to sing the song, and see if singing it this way is really a bit like Peking Opera."
(Piano accompaniment, children sing in full.)
Design intention: this link is to implement the second teaching objective "to be interested in the way of performing Peking Opera". The teacher transforms the song into a performance, so that the children can deepen their feelings and understanding of Peking Opera, and improve their ability to express themselves.
