There are many traditional cultures in China, including ancient prose, poetry, ci, national music, national drama, Chinese painting, calligraphy, couplets and riddles. There are also some traditional festivals, such as Spring Festival, Lantern Festival, Tomb-Sweeping Day, Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival. Among them, the Spring Festival is my favorite.

There are many national customs in the Spring Festival. Every household put up couplets, beat gongs and drums, decorated with lanterns, put on new clothes, ate jiaozi, and adults gave me lucky money. Among these customs, what I like best is the small red envelope with lucky money. Holding a small red envelope, I can't wait to run out. I heard the cheers of the children as soon as I went out. It turns out that they are having a fireworks competition in Little Square downstairs! Just listen to a few "hoo-hoo" sounds, all kinds of fireworks bloom in the sky, some fly like dragons, some go straight into the sky like bullets, and some are in full bloom in the sky like an unopened bud. I saw the beautiful fireworks and thought, "My fireworks must be many times better than theirs". So, I hurried to buy fireworks, took my own fireworks, lit them carefully and put them into the sky. There was a bang and the fireworks went straight into the sky. I froze when I looked up at the sky. It turns out that this kind of fireworks is called "peanut explosion" and ends with a bang. It's not beautiful at all. It really disappoints me. However, looking at the sky decorated with colorful fireworks, we all cheered and were very happy.

There are many beautiful legends in the Spring Festival. Legend has it that in ancient times there was a monster called Nian, which had sharp teeth and sharp horns and was extremely fierce. I lived at the bottom of the sea for many years in. Every New Year's Eve, monsters will climb ashore, attack a small village at the foot of the mountain, devour livestock and hurt people's lives. The villagers knew that there would be monsters coming, so they closed the door tightly, but in any case, Nian would come in, steal the villagers' food and hurt people and animals. Everyone is very scared, but there is nothing they can do about it. People are going to help the elderly and help the young to solve their difficulties on New Year's Eve. At this time, a fairy came over and told the villagers that Nian was afraid of red and noise. People quickly prepared red couplets and posted them on the doors. evening

In fact, the year is coming again. As soon as it saw red and heard the sound of gongs and drums, it ran away in fear. Since then, the village has been peaceful. In the future, every household will post Spring Festival couplets, New Year pictures and set off firecrackers. This custom has continued to this day and has gradually become the most solemn traditional festival of the Chinese nation.
