Actually, it's not just caffeine. I remember that when carbonated drinks such as cola were not so popular when I was a child, it was often only during the Chinese New Year holiday that someone would send them at home. I have a younger brother who drank all three boxes of drinks in one month and gained a lot of weight. His family only thought that the children would grow up normally and eat more during the New Year. Since then, my brother has become fatter and fatter. A few years later, I heard someone say that drinks are easy to make people fat, and I didn't understand the truth until I started to contact nutrition. I think there are not only such examples around me, but also many people. This is because cola not only contains a lot of caffeine, but also has a high sugar content. A can of coke contains 144kcal of calories, which is equivalent to the calories consumed by a child eating one or two steamed buns or walking for 40 minutes. This kind of sugar is absorbed by the human body very quickly, and the speed of forming fat is quite amazing. Indian medical scientists have found that the incidence of esophageal cancer increases in people who drink a lot of carbonated drinks, which means that carbonated drinks are inevitably related to the incidence of esophageal cancer. In the United States and South Korea, primary and secondary schools have also banned the sale of carbonated drinks such as cola, and the harm to children can be imagined.
Second, make milk tea or milk tea.
I took two or three famous brands at random. The ingredients list is basically the same: white sugar, non-milk powder (glucose syrup, hydrogenated vegetable oil, sodium caseinate, stabilizer, emulsifier, anti-caking agent), whole milk powder, maltodextrin and so on. .
The first item is white sugar, which means that the content of white sugar in additives is the highest, and the most direct harm of high sugar is obesity, elevated blood sugar and so on.
Then there is the non-dairy creamer, which contains a string of things you don't know what it is. In fact, glucose syrup is a slightly sweet and sticky thing produced by starch hydrolysis. The second component is hydrogenated vegetable oil, which is a semi-solid oil formed by artificial catalytic hydrogenation of soybean oil or rapeseed oil. Hidden dangers have emerged. Hydrogenated vegetable oil is the carrier of trans fatty acids. It can also be said that all hydrogenated vegetable oils contain trans fatty acids. Trans fatty acids are not normal components in nature, but unnatural components formed by artificial transformation of natural oils, so they are not contained in human body.
Trans fatty acids are very harmful. Like lard and butter, it not only increases serum total cholesterol, serum total fat and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, but also reduces high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, the so-called "good cholesterol". Moreover, the survey found that the more "trans fatty acids" in the diet, the higher the mortality rate of coronary heart disease. Some recent studies show that trans fatty acids may also increase the incidence of breast cancer and diabetes, and may affect the growth and development of children and the health of the nervous system.
Normal fat can be eliminated from the body after 7 days of digestion, while all fatty acids need 5 1 day. The higher the trans fat in the diet, the greater the risk of obesity under the same food intake. The main reason is that the fat is in the stomach and the visceral fat increases, thus increasing the prevalence of fatty liver and cardiovascular diseases.
There is also a kind of maltodextrin, which is also a term that often appears in the ingredient list. Maltodextrin is a kind of starch hydrolysate, similar to starch. Although there is no nutrition and no harm, energy is the same as sugar, and the sugar production index is higher and faster.
Therefore, it is better to drink less or not to drink bubble tea. This is the product of a well-known manufacturer. If it's a roadside, it's even worse. The so-called fresh milk and ingredient powder are all added with hydrogenated vegetable oil, but the names are slightly changed. This is also the real reason why these products give us a smooth taste, which comes from these hydrogenated vegetable oils that threaten our health.
Thirdly, reconstituted milk beverage.
Children are the most common drinkers of this drink. For reconstituted milk, some people may have doubts about what reconstituted milk is, and perhaps many people have never paid attention to it. Reduced milk is to collect milk in the milk production season (when the price of raw milk is cheaper), then make unsalable fresh milk into milk powder, and then make these milk powder into milk and sell it at the end of the milk sales season. In this process, fresh milk naturally becomes reconstituted milk. From the point of view of nutrition, some nutrients will be lost because the reconstituted milk has been treated at high temperature twice. There is a saying in the industry that "gold, silver, copper and iron" is used to compare "pasteurized milk, yogurt, normal temperature milk and milk powder". Except yogurt made of reconstituted milk, the rest of reconstituted dairy products can only be ranked after "iron", that is, reconstituted milk.
There is another problem that has not been mentioned: the safety hazard of milk barrel disinfection in the process of fresh milk procurement. Protein-rich fresh milk is difficult to keep fresh, and it is easy to deteriorate if it is put in an unwashed milk bucket. However, it is very difficult to wash milk barrels, and disinfection and sterilization is a headache for dairy farmers (and milk dealers). Therefore, strong disinfection and sterilization products will be used to ensure that the milk barrel does not breed bacteria and does not cause fresh milk to deteriorate. The consequence of this is that the problem of milk source pollution has become very prominent. According to a dairy farmer, the disinfectant they used had traces of skulls on the outer packaging, which should be toxic. But for disinfection, it has to be used. Otherwise, a bucket of fresh milk will go bad and lose a lot.
Another problem of using reconstituted milk is that in order to narrow the taste difference between reconstituted milk and fresh milk, some food additives such as flavoring agents must be added during the processing. This is another reason why milk is polluted. It is not surprising that we always think that the milk we drink now has no milk taste, or even a strange taste.
I took a famous brand, and the ingredients list says: reconstituted milk is 80% (water, whole milk powder, condensed milk, white sugar, emulsifier, food flavor, DHA), and the calcium content is 60 mg per 100g, while the calcium content of normal pure milk should be100g, which shows the difference.

Fourth, coffee, coffee partner.
There are different views on coffee. People often stand up and say that drinking coffee is good and refreshing. It also contains some antioxidants, which can help delay aging and is also good for cardiovascular diseases. Others say that coffee is not good, it contains caffeine. In addition, coffee can improve women's estrogen level, and drinking more can also lead to calcium deficiency in women.
All this is true, but there is a premise. One is to drink in moderation, no more than two small cups a day, and the other is to use pure coffee without adding a coffee partner. At this time, many people will say that it is too hard to drink without a partner and the taste is not smooth enough. . It may not be smooth enough, but it will reflect the real aroma of coffee and give full play to its advantages. And adding a coffee partner, that is, creamer, has become a threat to health.
On the front of the coffee partner, there are three words. I don't know if you have noticed them: non-dairy creamer. Like the ingredients in milk tea, the first ingredient is "glucose syrup" and the second ingredient is "hydrogenated vegetable oil". I explained this kind of non-milk powder earlier, and added that its fat content is 20%~75%, and its calories are higher than starch. Although its color is white and milky white, it is milky white when it is dissolved in water. In fact, it has nothing to do with milk, and its nutritional value is even worse than Wanli. The fragrance comes from cream essence and vanillin, and the milky white milk texture comes from emulsifier.
These ingredients have nothing to do with the word nutrition. But in terms of price, they are much cheaper than milk powder and taste better than milk. Another great advantage is that they are easy to store and process, and can make the taste of food more attractive after being added.
In fact, if you don't like pure coffee, you can choose whole milk instead of brewing, which not only tastes the same, but also has higher nutritional value.
Five, breakfast milk
Breakfast milk has been popular for many years, but the quality of breakfast milk varies greatly. I made a comparison between the following two brands of breakfast milk:
The ingredients list of breakfast milk 1 (original malt milk) is: fresh milk, white sugar, malt powder, vitamin B, food additives (emulsifier, thickener), edible salt, edible spices and specially added dietary fiber (polydextrose).
The ingredient list of breakfast milk 2 (Maixiang milk) is: fresh milk, white sugar, grains (grains, malt powder, malt extract, rice flour and corn flour), fruit and vegetable fibers (banana powder, pineapple powder, carrot powder and pumpkin powder), nutrients (vitamins A, D, ferric pyrophosphate, zinc citrate and soluble dietary fibers), salt, edible spices and food additives.
Compared with the two, the difference is obvious (see bold part): breakfast milk 1 is also called "original wheat" flavor milk, but there is no "wheat" (referring to grain, malt powder is not whole grain), only wheat flavor (probably the role of edible essence)! The carbohydrate added in breakfast milk is mainly monosaccharide (white sugar+malt powder). In the ingredient list of Breakfast Milk 2, there are cereals, namely "wheat" (cereals, malt powder, malt extract, rice flour and corn flour), and various fruit and vegetable powders (banana powder, pineapple powder, carrot powder and pumpkin powder). The carbohydrate added in breakfast milk is not only monosaccharide (white sugar+malt powder), but also cereal and fruit and vegetable powder, which is more nutritious.
But don't think breakfast milk 2 is good because of this, it's only relative.
Compared with ordinary milk, breakfast milk has not become more nutritious. If you look at the nutrition label, you will find that the protein content of breakfast milk has decreased. Every100g of breakfast milk contains 2.3g of protein, 2.9g of ordinary milk and protein containing cereals. The protein content of inferior breakfast milk is only 1%, and all breakfast milk also contains a lot of sugar. In fact, breakfast milk (flavored milk) is actually equivalent to diluted milk, and it does not feel thin in taste, because additives such as soluble dietary fiber, grain and thickener are added.
Therefore, the healthy breakfast milk produced by merchants is not as good as simply drinking a cup of pure milk and eating one or two pieces of whole wheat bread, which is more nutritious and healthier. If you must choose breakfast milk, you must look at the ingredients list first.
Six, fruit drinks
Many people will think that the meaning of fruit juice drinks is similar to that of fruit juice. If you want to understand, the ingredient list is additives such as juice, water and sugar, and at most a little potassium sorbate is added to adjust the sweet and sour taste. Actually, it is not. Fruit juice drinks contain no more than 20%, usually 65,438+00%, or even lower, and are essentially water and sugar. In order to increase the fruity flavor, a lot of fruity flavors were added. Pigment is added to make the color look better; In order to achieve the sweet and sour taste of people, a lot of sugar should be added, from 10% or even higher. If you take out a bottle of drink, you will find many things on the ingredient list. Whether there is too much sugar or too much essence and pigment, it will bring too many adverse effects to children, such as obesity, intelligence and even behavioral problems. In addition, high fructose corn syrup is added to the ingredient list of some drinks. People seem to think that this sweet taste seems to be safe, but experiments have proved that foods with high fructose may damage the learning and memory function of animals and make children stupid.
So is fruity milk. Anyone who tries to add juice to milk knows that milk will be flocculent and feel like deterioration after adding juice, because milk and juice will precipitate. That is, casein in milk is precipitated by acid, which is also the basic property of "casein" in milk. Although it is harmless to drink, it will basically not affect digestion. There is absolutely no such phenomenon in fruity milk, which means that one is chemical treatment and the other is adding fruit powder. All colored drinks, except 100% pure juice, are colored with pigments, such as carmine and lemon yellow. And spices for improving the flavor of fruits, such as potassium sorbate. The ingredient list is so rich that I don't even bother to type it out one by one. These pigments and essences have potential long-term harm to our human body, especially children.
