What is Du Jie Carving?

Du Jie Tune is a Japanese folk tune. This is a pentatonic scale without semitones. The core tone is the fourth tone besides the tonic. It consists of two identical quadratic and cubic quartic sequences. The syllables of Du Jie Tone are: alto (3 4 6 7) treble (1) alto (3). "Cherry Blossom" adopts the mode of "Du Jie". The melody of the songs is soft and smooth, which shows the carefree mood of Japanese people when they watch cherry blossoms.
