Beijing Opera "selling water" originated from Zhou Pu Bangzi and "Foal of Fire". 1960, Peking Opera actor Xie Ruiqing watched Wang Xiulan's Pu Opera "Selling Water", which aroused great interest. Later, he learned from Wang Xiulan, and Wang Xiulan taught Xie Ruiqing the essentials of performance.

After listening to Xie Ruiqing's report and suggestions, according to the characteristics of Peking Opera, the Dean of History of China Opera Academy arranged for the playwright Mr. Yang He to arrange the arrangement and adaptation, while Mr. Huang designed the music and Mr. Shi personally designed the vocals. 196 1 year, Chinese Opera School transplanted Pu Opera "Selling Water" into Peking Opera "Selling Water". It has become one of the representative works of Hua Dan's plays on the stage of Beijing Opera.
