1, line drawing: Line drawing, also known as line drawing, is both an ancient and the most modern form of drawing. In the way of expression, the complex relationship between light and shadow, light and shade is abandoned or weakened. Lines are used to represent the edges of objects and spaces (outer contours), and lines are used to represent the transition or connection between one side and the other (called inner contours). Do careful observation and experience, pay attention to the ins and outs of the line, see where it comes from, where it goes, how the two lines intersect, how to connect, and the relationship between the top, bottom, left and right. Express it accurately through writing speed, advance and retreat, frustration, turning round and folding square. The expression of object texture is also realized by controlling the pen. If the pen is smooth and the lines are smooth, it is called a solid line, indicating that the texture is hard; The pen is thin and fast, and the lines are loose, which is called dotted line, indicating that the texture is light and soft; The turning point of the pen is round and soft, indicating softness; The pen is fast and smooth, indicating liveliness; The pen is slow and frustrated, indicating stability; The pen holder is smooth and uniform in thickness, indicating rigor.

Line drawing should not only pay attention to writing, but also study the organization method of lines. Did not form a line. No matter how well a line is drawn, it is just a beautiful line, which does not reflect any image. When several lines are together, we should distinguish which ones are the main ones and strengthen them. What is accidental and what can be abandoned; Although some of them are main, they can be weakened from the overall consideration of the picture, so that the picture has a density change in line distribution and a size contrast in object image and space, shape and area. There is no certain formula for the method of linear density organization, which leaves the shape and personal feelings of the described object, and it is impossible to get a satisfactory answer simply from the method. Italian sculptor Michelangelo said, "... feel how eternal, commonly used and always new the principle of pen following shape."

2. Light and dark painting: Three major faces and five tones are the laws of light and dark changes. Due to the differences in various paintings and the different tools and materials used, the depth of this law is bound to be different. Pen drawing, in particular, is far less than pencil drawing and charcoal drawing, and can freely express delicate light and shade levels. Therefore, it is necessary to master the general handling methods.

1) The brightness of white paper with decreasing brightness is far less than that of light source, but it can magically depict a strong sense of light. This is the effect of decreasing lightness. For example, when an object receives light, it produces a light-receiving surface, a gray-scale surface and a backlight surface, and the relationship between them is 10: 40: 20. When drawing with pencil and charcoal pen, it can be expressed as the range of tone scale difference of 5: 20: 10; However, the color difference of 2: 8: 4 can only be achieved with a pen, which is called decreasing brightness in painting, and the relationship remains unchanged. Pen drawing is no exception. The so-called relationship between painting and viewing refers to this meaning, and the decreasing lightness method also has universal guiding significance for color painting.
