This winter vacation, I participated in college students' social practice activities for the first time. Different from the social practice in middle school, the knowledge we learned in college is professional, so this practical activity is more practical and professional.
This time, I chose xx Hospital as my internship site. I insisted on clinical contact and increased my knowledge. Provide services and offer love; Cultivate ability and exercise yourself; Advocate the purpose of medicine for the people, make full use of internship week, and walk into the hospital to provide patients with relevant help and services with the professional characteristics of our school, so that patients and their families can better feel the charm of nursing staff, and understand the life and work characteristics of medical staff and the life thoughts of patients and doctors through leaflets.
My exercise this time is divided into five parts.
First, be familiar with the hospital environment and understand the work flow. On the first day, one was familiar with the environment of the whole hospital, so that the practice activities in the next few days could be carried out smoothly. At the same time, I listened carefully to the introduction of the old doctors in the hospital, became familiar with the responsibilities of various departments in the hospital and the working relationship between them, and learned about their related cooperation and workflow. On the basis of being familiar with the basic situation of the hospital, I started my work as planned. In the process of getting familiar with the hospital, I found that although there are some differences in the nature of the work of each department, only when each department performs its own duties and cooperates reasonably can the hospital operate normally and serve patients. Once any link goes wrong, it will affect the efficiency and quality of work. Therefore, when you get to work, you must take your work seriously and learn to work closely with others.
Second, communicate with patients, understand their psychological state, and conduct corresponding psychological counseling. We talk with patients every day, feel their psychological state after illness and their feelings about medical work, and use our knowledge and skills of psychological counseling to do simple psychological counseling for them. A bridge of communication between doctors and patients was built, and the hospital also affirmed and appreciated our work. Through communication, we know that the root of most doctor-patient problems is that both sides can't understand and understand each other. Patients and their families do not understand the work and life of doctors, and it is easy to misunderstand medical workers. At the same time, medical workers failed to communicate with patients in time and put themselves in the patient's shoes, which led to contradictions.
Third, actively communicate with medical staff and listen carefully. We not only ask the medical staff around us for professional medical knowledge and valuable work experience, but also ask them about their working and living conditions and their views on the current work, as well as the shortcomings of medical interns and their expectations for us. We know that medical work is rigorous and hard, and our work is related to life, so we should be meticulous. It is precisely because of this feature that our work is particularly hard and tiring. But even so, we will study hard, practice hard, and serve patients without fear of hardship.
Four, the use of knowledge and skills to assist the treatment work. With the permission of the teacher, we regularly check the patient's blood pressure and temperature, and listen to the teacher's analysis of the patient's condition. It not only increases our knowledge, but also exercises our practical skills, making up for the shortage that students in school can only "talk on paper".
Fifth, promote medical and health methods. In modern society, although the country has gradually attached importance to our medical health, people are not familiar with it. Therefore, we introduce some simple medical knowledge, precautions and preventive methods related to winter diseases by distributing medical and health leaflets prepared in advance. The publicity campaign received a warm response from everyone. Many patients and their families will read the leaflets carefully and ask us all kinds of related questions. With the help of teachers and the efforts of team members, they got a satisfactory answer.

Every practice is always accompanied by efforts and gains. For college students, social practice is the way for us to get in touch with society at this stage. This shows the importance of practice to us. Without exception, in this winter vacation, I volunteered to participate in practical activities. I am glad that the hospital leaders have also provided me with this rare opportunity. This time, my destination is XX County People's Hospital.
I hold the view of increasing knowledge; Provide services and offer love; Cultivate ability and exercise yourself; Advocate the purpose of medicine for the people, make full use of internship week, and walk into the hospital to provide patients with relevant help and services with the professional characteristics of our school, so that patients and their families can better feel the charm of nursing staff, and understand the life and work characteristics of medical staff and the life thoughts of patients and doctors through leaflets.

The week-long social practice is over, from which I have gained a lot of inspiration and insights, mainly as follows:
First, try to make money.
I'm an intern in the inpatient department these days. I walk around serving patients and learning from doctors every day. I feel tired when I get home every day. But look at my parents, they are also very tired from work, but they still have to cook and do housework for us when they get home. They're really hard. We are all adults, how can we waste money to make our parents angry!
Second, interpersonal relationships.
In this practice, one thing that touched me very much was interpersonal communication. Everyone comes together for work, everyone has his own thoughts and personality, and it takes a lot of skills to handle it well, depending on how you grasp it. What I want to say is that since we can't change something in communication, we must learn to adapt to it. If it doesn't work, then adapt in another way. I have mastered a lot in this social practice. The most important thing is that I have made great progress in dealing with people and how to deal with interpersonal relationships.
Because of the characteristics of work, what we need to learn more is to deal with the relationship with patients. Only by putting ourselves in their shoes, understanding their thoughts and feelings of anxiety and helplessness after illness, understanding their worries about their inability to recover in time, worrying about their irritability, questioning our working ability and actively and patiently communicating can we handle our relationship with them and make patients actively cooperate with treatment and recover as soon as possible.
Third, self-reliance.
As the saying goes: "It is good to stay at home for a thousand days, but it is difficult to go out for half a day!" This means that when we are at home, our parents take care of us and care about us. However, as long as you go out to work, no matter what difficulties you encounter, setbacks are solved by yourself. Although these years of accommodation have taught me to be independent in life, I am still not independent in my work. In this practice, I understand that although you can ask other people for help, what I need more often is self-reliance, and many problems need calm and independent judgment and handling.
Fourth, knowledge comes from practice.
All knowledge comes from practice. "I feel very shallow on paper and don't know how to do it." Through this period of internship, I learned something that I couldn't learn at school. Because the environment is different, the people and things you contact are different, and the things you learn from it are naturally different. Learn to learn from practice and practice from learning. We should not only learn well what we have learned in school, but also learn other knowledge from life and practice, and constantly arm ourselves from all aspects, so as to stand out from the competition and express ourselves.
We should combine theory with practice, study theory in a planned way, and try our best to apply the theoretical knowledge and basic skills we have learned to practice. In this process, we should strive to improve our ability to think independently, solve problems independently and work independently, and constantly cultivate our life practice ability. Social practice enables us to find the combination of theory and practice. Especially our students, if they only pay attention to theoretical study and neglect practical links, they often do not perform well in practical work.
The professional theoretical knowledge gained through practice has been consolidated and improved, which is even more impressive. You can test your knowledge and level in practice. Through practice, the vague and unimpressive knowledge in theory has been consolidated, the deficiency in practice in theory has been made up, and the understanding and digestion of basic principles have been deepened. In a word, I am satisfied with my performance during my internship and full of confidence in my future study.
Verb (abbreviation for verb) the importance of occupation
Doctors are their hope when patients are ill. Because only doctors can give them hope for a healthy life. So different workers have their important responsibilities. In school, we should study professional knowledge hard, exercise our ability in practice and accumulate experience. At the same time, in this practice, I also deeply realized that we must be diligent in our work, slowly ponder and constantly learn and accumulate. If you don't understand something, try to solve it yourself. If you really can't, you can ask others humbly. Knowledge will be forgotten, and only by repeated memory consolidation can a firm memory be deepened.
The short 7-day internship ended in a blink of an eye, and I finally persisted, patiently serving everyone, humbly and sincerely consulting doctors when I met people who didn't understand, constantly summing up in practice and constantly learning. I feel very fulfilling and rewarding. We don't think these improvements can be learned in class. Only by personal participation can we feel the practicality of medicine, the nuance of medical work and the selfless dedication of volunteers.
Looking back on the internship period, although I was very busy and lived a full life, I knew my weaknesses that I should correct. I believe this is a fortune and will play an important role in my future. Through this internship, I learned the professional ethics of being a doctor, made clear the learning purpose, and gradually matured. Practical activities provide us college students with an opportunity to understand society, cultivate their ability to adapt to society and learn skills. I will cherish every opportunity to practice and cherish this hard-won opportunity.
I hope that our college students will have more and broader space to display their talents in the future. Social practice has deepened my feelings with people from all walks of life, narrowed the distance between me and society, broadened my horizons, increased my social practice ability, and further clarified the road to success and historical mission of our college students. Society is a big classroom for learning and education. In that vast world, our life value has been reflected, laying a more solid foundation for more intense competition in the future. I hope that I will have such an opportunity in the future to exercise myself from practice.

As a medical student who has been in school for two years, I think it is not enough to just study the knowledge in books and listen to the teacher. Because medicine is not only basic medicine, but also clinical medicine, that is, applying what we have learned to clinic. After all, you can't treat patients with just a few books. What we need is practice. During the summer vacation, the school assigned a task of practical activities. I used my vacation time to come to the county hospital and the people's hospital of xx county, and started a practical activity for xx days.
I came to the internal medicine office on the third floor of the inpatient department in X, and formally followed Dr. XXX in Pune after introducing myself. She is a very patient and responsible teacher. After a brief inquiry, I told her that I didn't have many specialized courses, only anatomy, physiology and pathology, so I went to make rounds with her. August in Zhejiang is a changeable season. Coupled with the typhoon, the rain kept falling, and the temperature dropped, so that the ward was full and even the corridor was added with beds.
Along the way, most of the beds are elderly people with poor resistance, and their families are taking care of them. The teacher has seven patients, most of whom are acute attack of chronic bronchitis or chronic pulmonary heart disease. Before going to the patient's bed, the teacher will carefully ask the patient how he feels, whether he is getting better, how much he urinates at night, the amount and color of sputum, whether he is easy to cough up, whether he has symptoms of chest tightness and shortness of breath, and check whether the patient has edema of lower limbs. Combined with the results of the nurse's blood pressure measurement, he will do lung auscultation to see if there are still dry and wet rales and wheezing sounds. On the first day, I just looked at it, full of doubts. Perhaps because I was too nervous, I didn't answer all the questions asked by the teacher, so although I gained a lot on the first day, I was not satisfied.
The next day, I came to the hospital early and put the medical records of seven patients in her charge on the table according to the teacher's instructions. At 8 o'clock, all doctors were in the nurse's office next door, listening to the nurse on duty reporting the changes of patients' condition in each bed the night before, including blood pressure changes, sputum volume, sputum color, urine volume and pain and discomfort of patients at night. A brief report lasts no more than ten minutes, but it is a daily routine. Then the doctor took their interns to make rounds. Fortunately, the patient's condition has been basically stable, and occasionally one or two patients have purulent sputum, chest tightness and difficulty in expectoration. The teacher wrote down one by one, added or modified the doctor's orders on the computer when he returned to the office, and added or changed the drugs according to the actual situation, and submitted them to the nurses for them to execute the doctor's orders for the patients, and then recorded them in the medical records.
At this time, I can hardly help. You can only see how the teacher writes the doctor's advice, and ask more questions if you don't understand. In the morning, the teacher not only gave the patient a doctor's advice, but also handled two discharged patients. Because of hospital regulations, the hospitalization time of inpatients should not exceed 12 days, except for special diseases. The discharge medical record is very careful. The teacher told me that people's consciousness is getting stronger and stronger now, so the relationship between doctors and patients becomes more tense, and medical records need to be strictly divided. Except for the patient's medical card, the rest of the hospitalization materials have to be stored in the warehouse. So until twelve o'clock, half an hour after work, the teacher finished reading the medical records at hand, took off his white coat and went to the canteen to eat. There is no denying that as a qualified doctor, you need not only a sense of responsibility, but also a spirit that is not afraid of hardship and fatigue.
The afternoon is a little freer than the morning. If the teacher doesn't have a meeting, he will continue to write the medical records left over in the morning, or accept inpatients as required, or accept the diagnosis of outpatients. I read books on diagnosis and internal medicine if I have nothing to do, but I don't read them very carefully. Sometimes I encounter some unfamiliar words, such as gas-liquid plane, and I will also consult a doctor nearby. They are all good teachers. When they treat a medical student, they will also take pains to explain and answer a bunch of my questions. I didn't say goodbye to my teacher until I left the hospital after work at six in the afternoon.
Time seemed to pass quickly when I was in the hospital. Although I can't wake up naturally in the morning like I usually have a holiday, I can't get together with my friends and go shopping at will, but I feel very satisfied every day. Every night before I go to bed, I will think about how the day passed, and then write down those moments that moved me. Even though I am still a medical student, when I put on that white coat, everything will become so sacred. My heartfelt pride: in the future, I will repay this beautiful white coat with all my enthusiasm and love, just like them! If I fail myself, I deserve to trust my people. I want white to shine with divine light!
Eighteen days of internship time has passed in a blink of an eye, and the new semester is coming soon. When I left, I told myself that I would study hard and try to become a qualified doctor.
