In commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, our school welcomed the Shanghai Changning Shanghai Opera Troupe, led by Chen, a national first-class actor and Shanghai Opera performance artist, and presented the Shanghai Opera "Eight Years from Chaos" to us, vigorously promoting the national cultural spirit on campus.

Shanghai Opera is a traditional opera in Shanghai and one of its cultural brands. Last May, the Ministry of People and Culture of China listed Shanghai Opera in the first batch of intangible cultural heritage protection list in China. The famous Shanghai Opera "Eight Years of Unrest" is adapted from the traditional play "A River Flowing East" of Changning Shanghai Opera Troupe. The revival of Eight Years of Unrest is not only a commemoration of the 86th anniversary of the birth of Gu, a Shanghai opera performer, but also a practical action to protect cultural heritage and protect spiritual home.

The Shanghai opera "Eight Years from Chaos" tells the story of Su Fen, a kind woman, struggling with her tragic fate in the bitter wind and rain in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, which is still of great significance to today's students.

During the eight-year Anti-Japanese War, Wusong Middle School, as an important strategic fortress at that time, was also devastated by the war. But even the smoke of war can't stop the reconstruction of Zhong Song campus. The school motto of "suffering hardships" was born under such circumstances. Nowadays, the war in the past has long been extinguished, but the spirit of "struggle" is still passed down from generation to generation in middle schools. It is with this same historical background that we have a different mood when we watch the Shanghai drama "Eight Years from Chaos".

At one o'clock in the afternoon, all senior three students in our school were lucky enough to watch the first performance of the Shanghai opera "Eight Years from Chaos" in the grand theater on the fifth floor of the school science building. Before the performance, Vice President Wang Genbao made an opening speech for the performance, and the student representatives exchanged pennants with the relevant leaders of the troupe.

The curtain slowly opened and the performance officially began. The actors on the stage sing euphemistically and somberly, and their words are full of appeal. With the ups and downs of the plot, the live music accompaniment of the band in Shanghai Opera Troupe, the long erhu and the crisp banjo add a lot of color to the whole drama. During the intermission and after the performance, the students gave warm applause to the actors on the stage.

In just two hours, the students were not only infected by the strong artistic atmosphere, but also got close contact with Shanghai's excellent opera culture and gained a new understanding of the past history and future life.

Students all feel that campus cultural life is becoming more and more colorful, and at the same time, they should contribute to the inheritance and development of national culture!
