What are the customs in Hebei?
Hebei Bangzi is the most representative local opera in Hebei Province, also known as Beijing Bangzi, Zhili Bangzi, Wei Bangzi and Shaanxi Opera. In the middle of Qing Dynasty, Shaanxi Opera and Shanxi Bangzi, which flowed into Beijing, were combined with Hebei dialect and folk music, and were formally formed in Daoguang period.
1, Fengning paper-cut
Fengning Manchu Autonomous County is located in Saibei, Hebei Province. The spread of Fengning Manchu paper-cut among the people began in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty, and formed a new and different style with regional and national characteristics in the Qianlong period. It is mainly carved in Yang, supplemented by carved in Yin, with long hair and fine cutting.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, Fengning Manchu paper-cutting entered its heyday. After 1949, it further developed in form and content, which was closer to real production and life.
2. Laoting Drum
Laoting Shadow Play, commonly known as Laoting Shadow Play and Laoyi Shadow Play, is a traditional opera performance art that integrates Quyi, folk music, folk dance and folk rap. It originated in Laoting County, Hebei Province, took shape in the Jin Dynasty, prevailed in the middle and late Qing Dynasty, and developed after the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC). The characters and scenes of shadow play are all carved from donkey skin, which is also called donkey shadow play.
3. Laoting Yangko
It is a popular folk dance with a long history, rich content and lively form in Laoting County. Before Guangxu in Qing Dynasty, Laoting Yangko was mainly a large-scale yangko with running routines, but in Xuan Tong period, the number of small-scale yangko gradually increased. There are two forms of yangko performance: string street and playing field.
4. Wuqiang Woodblock New Year Pictures
The traditional production of Wuqiang New Year pictures is to carve thin line images on wooden boards, print them on paper, register and fill in colors, which is convenient for mass reproduction. Wuqiang New Year pictures are generally listed before the Spring Festival to meet the folk needs of people to paste New Year pictures. In the old days, Wuqiang New Year pictures were single, folded in half, and multiple comic books, including door paintings, window grilles, kang paintings, bucket squares, stripes, tribute notes, lamp paintings, couplets, nave paintings and calendar paintings.
