Tap water must be left for a day or two (or fish medicine Yulebao) before it can be used, because chlorine (bleaching powder) in water is not only bad for fish, but also bad for plant roots. If it is bad for fish, it will appear faster and lead to death.

The problem of hypoxia: fish farming in still water is easy to cause hypoxia of fish, and sometimes it will lead to hypoxia death. It should be reminded that plants also need oxygen in water. So it is better to raise flowers, fish and small fish.

The water temperature should also meet the requirements of fish.

Fish have higher requirements on the pH of water than plants. If the water is changed for a long time, the pH of the newly changed water will be different from before, because the excreta metabolized by plants will be secreted into the water from the roots, resulting in little change in the pH of the water. Ways to reduce this change: don't change the water at too long an interval. This can not only supplement oxygen to fish and plants, but also reduce the difference of pH value of water before and after each water change.

It is better to put the nutrient solution of hydroponic plants into the bottle and then put the fish into the bottle.
