What is powder steel?

Powder steel is a manufacturing technology of alloy powder, which has been developed and studied for more than 25 years in countries with advanced metallurgical technology. After continuous improvement and breakthrough, high-quality powder alloy high-speed steel, referred to as powder high-speed steel, has been developed, including ASP23, ELMAX and other products. Extremely high hardness (HRC63~70) can be obtained.

Type of steel:

Classification by chemical composition

Steel can be divided into carbon steel and alloy steel according to chemical composition. Carbon steel is divided into low carbon steel, medium carbon steel and high carbon steel according to carbon content. Alloy steel is divided into low alloy steel, medium alloy steel and high alloy steel according to the content of alloy elements.

Classification by quality

The quality of steel is divided by the content of sulfur and phosphorus. According to the content of sulfur and phosphorus, steel can be divided into ordinary high quality steel, high quality steel, high quality steel and super high quality steel.

Classification of smelting method

According to the different steelmaking furnaces used in smelting, steel can be divided into open hearth steel, converter steel and electric furnace steel.

Classification by metallographic organization

In the annealing structure, steel can be divided into sub-* * precipitation, * * precipitation and over * * * precipitation. Steel can be divided into pearlite steel, bainite steel, martensite steel, ferrite steel, austenite steel and ledeburite steel according to normalized structure.
