Dali Prefecture May Day Holiday Arrangements: April 29 to May 3, the five-day holiday is the Labor Day, May 4 to 6, the three-day holiday is the "March Street" Ethnic Festival, a total of eight days.

1, Around the Three Spirits

The festival is held on the 23rd to 25th day of the fourth month of the summer calendar every year. The festival is held for three days. On the 23rd, people gather at the Shengyuan Temple under the Wutai Peak of Cangshan Mountain to pray and sing; on the 24th, people pass through the town of Xizhou and head towards the villages along the southern Erhai Sea, and then celebrate and sing at the local village's Benzhu Temple that night; on the 25th, the crowds go along the Erhai Sea to the Benzhu Temple of Majuyi, which is located east of the Chongsheng Temple of Dali, and then pray and celebrate here before returning home.

2, March Street

Also known as Guanyin City, on the 15th to 21st day of the third month of the lunar calendar every year. March Street is the largest traditional festival of the Bai people, is not only the exchange of materials, but also horse racing, Dian opera, lanterns and other cultural and sports performances in the center.

3, Shibaoshan Song Club

In the annual lunar calendar, July 26 to the first day of August, the Bai elders believe that the day in the Shibaoshan stretching the singing voice can get good luck and well-being, therefore, the day of the festival, the surrounding Bai people will be converging from all sides of the Shibaoshan Dali Jianchuan, singing songs, sightseeing tours.

4, play the sea will

Shangguan, Xizhou area began on the 23rd day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar, Dali, Xiaguan area began on the eighth day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar. Bai people dressed in costumes, gathered on the shores of the Erhai Sea, take colorful boats to swim in the Erhai Sea, singing songs and tunes. Grand dragon boat races are also held in Dali and Xiaguan areas.
