What material is used for masonry structure?
(1) bricks
The main types of bricks are: sintered ordinary bricks, autoclaved lime-sand bricks, fly ash bricks and sintered hollow bricks.
The strength grade of brick is usually based on its compressive strength, and at the same time, it must meet certain flexural strength.
Commonly used brick brands are MU 10, MU 15, MU20, MU25 and MU30.
It is used in the area where the outdoor calculated temperature is lower than 10℃ in winter. It is also required that the weight loss of saturated brick is less than 2% and the compressive strength is less than 25% after 15 cycles of freezing and thawing.
Bricks need to be wetted 1 ~ 2 days before laying. Generally speaking, the moisture content of ordinary bricks and hollow bricks is 10%~ 15%. The moisture content of lime-sand brick and fly ash brick should be 5%~8%.
(2) block
Having sufficient strength and rigidity; Can meet the requirements of sound insulation, heat insulation and heat preservation;
The specifications and models of building blocks are related to the height, width and depth of the building.
The weight of blocks should be controlled at 200~300kg, which is convenient for prefabrication, transportation and installation. 5~6 specifications are appropriate.
The commonly used strength grades of fly ash silicate dense medium blocks are MU 10 and MU 15. The main specifications and lengths are: 1 180, 880, 580 and 430 (mm). Height: 380mm;; Thickness: 240,200, 190, 180 (mm).
The quality standard of fly ash silicate block shall meet the following requirements:
If the number of freeze-thaw cycles is greater than 15, the weight loss should be less than 5% and the strength reduction should be less than 5%; The surface is not allowed to be crisp;
In areas with frost heaving environment and conditions, porous bricks are not suitable for laying below the ground or below the moistureproof layer.
(3) Mortar
Mortar is used to fill the gap between bricks and stones, bond them into a whole, and transfer the load evenly from the upper brick to the lower brick.
Mortar is a mixture of cementing material, fine aggregate and water. Mortar is divided into cement mortar, lime mortar and mixed mortar.
Before cement is put into use, its strength and stability should be reinspected in batches. Different kinds of cement shall not be mixed.
