The Future Development of Peking University Petroleum and Natural Gas Research Center

Peking University Petroleum and Natural Gas Research Center, based on the advantages of Peking University, strengthens the cooperation between schools and enterprises, aims at the national goal, promotes interdisciplinary and cultivates compound talents, introduces, absorbs and develops the latest theoretical and technological achievements of world oil and natural gas research on the basis of the National Outline of Medium and Long-term Scientific and Technological Development Plan and the National Eleventh Five-Year Scientific and Technological Plan, closely combining the development needs of China's oil and natural gas enterprises and the characteristics of China's oil and gas geology. Focusing on the study of China and its surrounding oil and gas areas, this paper explores the law of oil and gas accumulation and exploration and development strategies under the special geological background of China, gives full play to the multidisciplinary advantages of Peking University, combines teaching with scientific research, and pays attention to cultivating innovative and compound talents in scientific research practice, so as to provide theoretical support and technical solutions for oil and gas exploration and development in China.

/10 2008 On June 26th, 2008, Peking University signed a close long-term cooperative relationship with China Petroleum Exploration and Development Research Institute. The signing and implementation of this long-term cooperation agreement will certainly promote the mutual complementary advantages, exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, further accelerate the pace of Peking University's striving for a world-class university, and push the Exploration Institute towards the goal of building itself into a world-class comprehensive international energy company's exploration and development research institute by 2020.
